I am 2 years overdue in writing this but Dr Schmid works with the surgeon who removed my cancer. I went to Dr Schmid to discuss my options and he was kind, caring and gently explained my options. 2 years later I have no visible scars. I appreciate his work and his compassion.

As with the other 1 star reviews in the comments, many of the 5 star reviews are suspicious. I broke my nose twice, the first time it only made my nose slightly crooked. The second time it became very crooked with an indent. I chose Dr. Schmid because of all the 5 star reviews and he accepted my insurance. I was a little hesitant about getting surgery because of the cost and everything that comes with it. He told me "its way over to the right, you really need this." He then told me that he thinks he might be able to get it back to where it was before the first break. Personally, I was fine with just getting it back to where it was before this last break. Well, here we are now and my nose is EXACTLY like it was before surgery. I took a picture the morning of surgery and it is identical. I still have a dent and its way over to the right. I called him and he told me I should probably see an ENT and get Rhinoplasty. Well why didnt he say this from the beginning? … Instead, I went through this awful surgery and spent 1,000s of $$ for nothing!

Dr. Schmid is a kind and patient man; I’m thankful that he was available to work on me. Dr. Schmid enclosed an 8 inch opening during a vertical hysterectomy. The required surgery was very sudden and the required incision to remove a large mass was quite large and had to extend beyond my belly button. I was concerned that the scar would be a constant reminder and wanted to have a plastic surgeon perform the finish work on my abdomen. Dr. Schmid was to work with the oncologist to perform the closure of the incision. Dr. Schmid was wonderful; he made himself available on very short notice and was so very kind and accommodating. His work is neat and the scar is healing so well. It has been 10 weeks and it is truly just a light pink line. Knowing Dr. Schmid was going to perform the finish work gave me comfort prior to the surgery. He was calm and comforting and explained everything carefully and thoroughly. Dr. Schmid was continued to be kind and thoughtful afterwards, I actually saw him… before seeing the oncologist and he put my mind at ease again. I have been massaging the scar gently and the rope-iness has decreased significantly. It truly look pretty good and the scar is flat. Thank you Dr. Schmid.

First I'd like say I'm very happy for all the positive outcomes I've read on this site. That is why I picked Dr. S. DIEP FLAP done on left breast with very good results. Prior to surgery my breasts were DD. Left Diep flap came out a full C cup / D cup which made me feel like me again! Was looking forward to symmetry surgery because for me this surgery would represent the end of this journey. Now I could finally celebrate. Unfortunately the surgery outcome for my right breast was significantly smaller and looks nothing like the left breast. I put myself through diep flap surgery because I DID NOT WANT IMPLANTS. To fix the breast an implant was suggested. This is my healthy DD breast needs an implant??? I don't want to look at myself because it's very upsetting. The surgical center provided no privacy to talk to nurse's and doctor because the patient and family next to you is separated by a curtain and heard everything that was said. If I was getting a tummy tuck I wouldn't mind… but talking about my breast and nipples made me uncomfortable and kept me from asking questions because anyone in ear shot would hear me talking about my breasts and nipples. This is very sensitive and should not be meant for all ears to hear.

I hope there is enough space here to rave about Dr. Schmid and his amazingly wonderful team of professionals. From the moment I met the first person on his staff I knew that I had been guided there by divine direction. Each person working with Dr. Schmid is warm, supportive, comforting and professional. They go above and beyond to give you superior care. Now, to describe Dr. Schmid and his warmth and expertise is near impossible, but I’ll do my best. Dr. Schmid is an expert surgeon who has also been blessed with the rare ability to truly listen. It’s evident that he truly cares and shows his concern. He has experience and deserves his outstanding reputation. I felt that every question I had was answered, that all my concerns were respected and all my fears lovingly reassured. I was consistently asked about what I wanted and whether or not I was perfectly satisfied with my decisions and results. I hope that my communication about his work and his practice being as close to perfection… as humanly possible will give you the reassurance you need to choose Dr. Schmid for your surgery. I write this with gratitude and love for Dr. Schmid and his outstanding staff!

I was having a reduction and lift after breast cancer treatments. I felt very comfortable and at ease with Dr. Schmid. His office staff is very nice. He is a good doctor and surgeon.

Doctor Schmid is more then an excellent Surgeon, he is a Doctor who has never forgotten he is dealing with a human being! He was referred to me after other Doctor’s weren’t able to perform surgery. Doctor Schmid took his time to explain the surgery and ensure that I understood. He did an excellent job and I feel great!! God has given him a gift!!

I was in a critical botched situation for 4 years, battling for my health. In 2016-2017 I met Dr.Schimd, I didn't know it yet but my life was about to change for the better. Dr. Schmid was there for me. He treated me as if I were his own daughter, part of his family. He empathized with me, he understood all the years I lost dealing with a traumatic situation. Dr.Schimd performed two surgeries on my buttocks. The scars that were left after recovery were unnoticeable to the eye. I was expecting huge, thick scars but no Dr.Schmid listened to my insecurities and he knew exactly what he was doing. The scars came out extremely thin. . He did them under the crest of the buttocks where you can hardly see them! He left me looking better then what I came in. My buttocks looked deformed pre surgery due to the injections from my horrific botched experience, but Dr.Schmid fixed the deformity and made my buttocks look completely round. Look, I know there are many plastic surgeons out there but… not many who have the heart, dedication, and patience that Dr.Schmid does. He really takes care of you and makes sure to give you exactly what you ask for. He is indeed a perfectionist and makes sure he leaves you looking as perfect as he possibly can; no matter the situation you are in. I hope that this heartfelt message reaches so many women. That they learn from my story, without any judgement. That Dr.Schmid gets filled with people that are in need of his help. Dr. Schmid deserves so much! I can never gather the words to express the gratitude and love I have for him; for restoring not just my insecurities but my health.
