Dr. Daniel Hal Silcox, MD

Dr. Silcox has done 2 spinal fusions on me, 2003, and 2012, with excellent results. I have herniated amother disc in 2026 and consulted with him in the office recently. He took 40-45 minutes to go through my medical condition and treatment options and answered all of my questions. He is a conservative doctor and will do surgery when necessary but does not push surgery and prefers other treatment options first. But when he has to do surgery, he is about the best around. He has pioneered some of the surgical techniques used today, particularly in the area of anterior and lateral fusions. Surgeons come from all over to learn from him. But the best thing about Dr. Silcox is that you can tell after just a few minutes talking with him that he cares very much about the welfare of his patients and wants the best outcome for them. I highly recommend him to anyone who has back or neck pain issues. And his PA is fantastic also.

Dr Silcox was very thorough on pre surgery consultation and post surgery. I got a great outcome with my back surgery and I had spinal fusion. I am now beginning to resume normal activity. I feel great and I was very debilitated prior to my surgery. Thank you to Dr Silcox and his team.

Dr. Silcox has treated me for back problems for over a decade. He and his staff (Todd, Jo, Sean) are fantastic--never rush through an appointment, provide thorough treatment and medication explanations, and are prompt to follow up to portal messages and calls. After exhausting all other options, I finally had back surgery a year ago. The neurosurgeon with whom I consulted for a second opinion told me Hal Silcox is the only surgeon he would let operate on him . . . seemed to be the ultimate recommendation. Dr. Silcox and his staff are caring, professional, and just good people. I drive a six-hour round trip from out of state to receive care from them and will continue doing so. It's well worth it.

Dr Silcox is a miracle worker. I battled back pain for years and went to one doctor after another. Now my pain is completely gone after surgery performed by Dr. Silcox. He went above and beyond to take care of me. I highly recommend him to anyone with back issues.

Dr. Silcox was recommended to me after I saw 4 other surgeons at 24. After meeting Dr. Silcox and expressing how much I wanted to get better and have a family, he came up with a plan. I got married in 2008, had surgery in 2009 spinal fusion (L3,4 L4,5) & with his approval, I got pregnant in 2010. I Had my first child in 2011. All thanks to Dr. Silcox. I’ve never felt so calm and sure about letting a doctor operate on me. Fast forward to 2021. I am looking at a cervical fusion. My degenerative disc disease reared it’s ugly head again. This time in my neck. When given recommendations I sobbed in Dr. Silcox office. He just let me cry and just said “if you can’t cry to me, who can you cry to”! He’s such a special doctor. He’s just different. He knows I have a young family who I want to get back to 100% for. I’m so thankful God put this doctor in my life.
