Dr. Daniel Alan Smolen, DO

Excellent Doctor for over forty years. If you need a specialist, he will send you to the best one for your needs. Dr Smolen is very caring and always listens. You may wait for your time but he will always take the best care of you when seen.

I have been a patient there for over 25 years & no problem with Dr. Smolen except wait time. The rooms do need a good cleaning & 1 of the M.A.'s in particular needs to mind her own business & dress more appropriately. Surprised Dr. Smolen lets her dress that way. As far as the wait time it's not the receptionist or the M.A.'s fault. That is up to Dr. Smolen. Things have really changed there.

I've put up with the same crap for 2 years, no matter when your appointment, expect to it to be at least an hour wait. Twice I waited 2 hours. I went to go today for an appointment and the office was closed! I didn't get a phone call, email, nothing. Two inches of snow and they shut down, by far the worst office I've ever experienced in any medical environment. Run Away!

I have had other Dr's. Before but none of them have been as dedicated to my healthcare as Dr. Sm olen. He has been not only been top rating with my treatment and care but always been successfully referring to the exact Dr. I need as far as specialists go. He's thorough.

Dr Smolen has been our primary physician for nearly 40 years. We find him to be quite through and always very attentive to our needs and conditions. He never rushes you through an appointment.

Dr. Smolen is wonderful. He diagnosed my husband's cancer very quickly and my husband survived. Both of our daughters also see Dr. Smolen and I have recommended him to many people. The worst thing about him is the wait time but once you are with him, he takes his time and gives us all of his attention.

Unfortunately, whether the doctor is good or not, his staff is not helpful or nice. The office wait here is ridiculous ! Don't bother with an appointment, because it means absolutely nothing to these people. And definitely go when u have an entire day to waste! I thought the whole purpose of an appointment is to be seen on or close to that appointment time, but to wait 3 or more hours past that time is unbelievable. And don't dare say anything to the receptionist about it, unless you want to get your head bit off. Dr. Smolen has had good reviews about being a good doctor, but what's he point if you can't even see him! Will be switching doctors, after 7 years, can't take it anymore!!!

I have been a patient there for over 15 years and I agree the place has looked the same for 15 years. Office could use a facelift. Front desk receptionist is extremely rude, I've actually never had a positive interation with her. Wait time in the office is at least 1-2 hours...yes you heard me...1-2 HOURS. Dr. Smolen is caring, up to date, and takes time with his patients. He has never led me down the wrong path.

This is the best Dr. I have ever seen.

Dr. Smolen is okay, but his staff is unresponsive and unprofessional. The location needs a facelift and is a bit run down. I am looking elsewhere after 7 years as a patient.
