Dr. Daniel David Weissbluth, MD

This practice has a pattern of making you come in (and pay!) two or even three consecutive times before they treat your children, or prescribe them any medication; even if you have explained to them your child has already been sick for 2 or 3 weeks. this last time was over the top mal-practice as my son had contracted pertussis (a very recognizable cough and distinct symptoms which can result in encephalitis) and had a horrible cough and bad breath and had already been sick for 2.5 weeks. They sent us home. We came back ten days later, and paid again; they sent us home. (For a professional pediatrician to not be able to recognize the Pertussis cough of an 18 month old, is bordering on negligence and mal-practice.) Then we tried to switch pediatricians, and they refused to release our children's charts to the new pediatrician. Illegal. As a result, our entire family was on a course of antibiotics for over a week. Our son is still sick.

This practice is run by incompetent doctors and nearly cost us our daughter's future. We were observing our daughter having spasms upon waking up that began soon after one of her visits to the office, likely caused by one of the vaccines administered at Weissbluth. After several phone calls and emails describing what we saw, the doctors at Weissbluth never thought anything of it, so we took matters to our own hands and took our daughter to the ER. Sure enough, her EEG confirmed SEIZURES. Dr. Mina had been extremely condescending when we had asked about our tiny baby being vaccinated in the first place. Her bedside manner was always moody and we never comfortable with her. One day she would be happy and bubbly and the next visit, she would be sarcastic and rude. Not only did she miss the seizure diagnosis, but she and the nurse practitioners also missed my daughter's lip and tongue tie diagnosis. Overall, we are extremely dissatisfied with Weissbluth and hope that no other children… are harmed there. They run like a capitalistic business not keeping the child's best interest in mind. Please keep your babies safe and away from them. Thank goodness we have found a much more caring and holistic pediatrician for our daughter, Dr. Zumhagen, who is well worth the drive, and our daughter is now thriving.

I think overall Dr Dan knows what he is talking about when he talks about how much sleep children need at each age. He was great at helping me gauge what time to put my toddler to bed to help her get more sleep. I was always bothered by his comments though. He would talk about being a doctor so he could buy Armani suits and he would show off his expensive shoes. It just made me feel like he was a doctor for the money and not the kids. He was friendly, but his staff could never remember my children's names, and they all seemed like this may be their first job. I had to leave though when Dr Dan told me to leave my 6 month old alone to cry for 12 hours. That is not natural. Within 3 days (of me not even managing the full 12 hours, but skipping two night time feedings) my son's wet diaper count went to ONE a day! He was becoming dangerously dehydrated!!! I felt like this doctor had an agenda and it had nothing to do with the needs of a baby. His father was out doctor for years and I was… incredibly disappointed in how opposite the two of them are. Honestly, I don't think he should be allowed to practice on children. I felt he wasn't breastfeeding friendly, and I didn't feel that my children were safe with his advice.

He is prompt and has great bedside manner. He never makes me feel rushed or like I am asking a silly question. He is patient with me, since I am a first time mom. Staff are helpful and very nice. I love Dr. Dan.

Misdiagnosed - terrible!!!
