Dr. Daniel Robert Whipple, MD

On Nov. 25, 2019 I had an appointment with Dr. Whipple and it was beyond an hour and a half waiting to see him. When I did finally see him, he was in my personal space the entire time. He did grab my leg as he was questioning me about my life routine. I was startled and in shock!! I looked directly at his assistant Tara (I think that was her name) and she was looking straight at me and never changed her expression. Like grabbing a patient was an everyday occurrence. It was very unprofessional to me. That was my FIRST and LAST time I will EVER see that doctor.

Made appt with Dr Whipple for yearly exam. In walks Dr Mcpike who is not an ophthalmologist, but an ootometrist. He was arrogant and didn’t seem to listen. dismissed my concern of light sensitivity as just being dry eyes. A year later I actually saw Dr whipple for exam & followup to do a lesion removal. The entire time he was removing lesion, he was complaining about being scheduled in afternoon, and his associate was out of office. I was really disappointed, as I really liked dr whipple. I chalked it up to a bad day, but..... A week later I Was in exam room to have stitches removed, and told dr whipple would be in shortly. 40 minutes later dr mcpike walks in. I told him I was expecting dr whipple, as I had questions for him. Dr mcpike said it would be at least another 20-30 minutes & walked out. When dr whipple finally came in I had been waiting over 2 hours. Dr whipple started they “share” visits, so you never know. I prefer an ophthalmologist to an optometrist, so I’ll be… finding a new eye doctor.

I would recommend this Dr to anyone who needs a specialist
