Dr. Daniel Paul Wiske, DO

I have had 2 procedures done with Dr. Wiske, I find him very personable, very informative and has always taken time with me. I am returning to see him again and don't want to see anyone else. My husband also sees Dr. Wiske and he is happy with Dr. Wiske as well.

Complete waste of time . Very short , abrupt, and non concerned. Haven’t been able to use my left hand and wrist for over a year.

Doctor Wiske is a waste of your time, money and worst of all, dangerous to your health. I visited him regarding a lump in my arm, he suggested a MRI and a second visit to review the results. One VERY expensive MRI later, I came back for a second visit. I waited approximately an hour for him, he barely glanced at the MRI, stated that the lump was something COMPLETELY different then what he stated at the first visit and that he wouldn't be taking any action. When I asked follow up questions, he refused to answer and wished me a good summer. I saw him for less then 5 minutes total. I have since seen another doctor, who took one look at the lump, ordered a much cheaper immediate ultrasound, saw that the lump was serious and ordered surgery. Had I listened to Dr. Wiske I would be having serious complications and health issues now.

I had a surgery performed by Wiske and he was not thorough, did not offer me options or let me know if the risks before a rushed surgery that left me deformed and rather than offer me solutions, options, condolences. He “dumped” me. One of my bigggest regrets in life was coming into contact and allowing this person to perform surgery on me. BEWARE AND KEEP LOOKING. Don’t give this ego maniac your money, time or HEALTH. My entire life has changed work and health wise after what was supposed to be a tendon repair.

I went to Dr. Wiske for trigger finger surgery, upon the recommendation of my rheumatologist. I discussed with Dr. Wiske that I had previous cortisone injections â?? 2 or 3. They were effective in the past, with relief lasting up to 2 years. My rheumatologist said more injections were not recommended (which is why he sent me to Dr. Wiske). Dr. Wiske presented the option of having another cortisone injection. When a physician presents me with a choice of having an injection or having surgery â?? I think itâ??s understandable that I chose to have another injection. My assumption was that this would be a safe and effective option. After receiving the injection from Dr. Wiske, the trigger finger in my left hand became considerably worse and more painful. He made no effort to find the right spot for the injection, even saying 'anywhere in the palm is close enough'. My online research, and discussions with my new & very competent hand surgeon, confirm that getting another… cortisone injection was not a good idea, and even risked further damage. I have since had surgery in both hands, with great success.... thankful that I finally found a GOOD hand surgeon. Dr. Wiske (and Aurora's) response were pretty much "too bad, pay the bill, and have a nice day". To add insult to injury, Aurora's charge for the same injection was 3x more than what my rheumatologist charged. All in all, a horrible experience with this doctor. An Aurora doctor ... NEVER AGAIN!

Dr. Wiske is a very caring person that truly wants his patients to have the best experience possible. He is very professional and knowledgeable.

After seeing three other hand surgeons, this is the only doctor who ordered a CT scan to actually take a closer look at what was causing my complaints about previously placed hardware. This gave me some peace of mind to know that the surgeon could take a look at my wrist, prior to cutting me open! The prior surgeon left the hardware in a position too close to my tendons, which was causing me several different problems. Dr. Wiske was efficient in the office and performed a higher level of skill for the surgery on my wrist than my previous surgeon did (including prep, surgery, sutures, and a better looking scar). The outcome has been far better than my expectations thought it could have been! I am very pleased with my decision and results with Dr. Wiske.
