Dr. Danielle Marie Bottalico, MD

I went to Dr. Bottalico for a lump in my neck and to have a biopsy of my salivary glands. She took a one pass ultrasound (around 15 seconds) over the lump and said it was nothing and that I “should expect inflammation with my autoimmune issues.” She then proceeded to do the most unorganized biopsy. She didn’t have any instruments ready and had to keep asking nurses/assistants to go find things for her while already having my lip cut open. She had my lip in her hands and asked one of her assistants to come help her. The assistant was close to the floor wiping down the ultrasound machine and then came over to hold my lip without changing gloves. It was traumatizing; I never went back to her. A year later I found out that the lump in my neck was a GIANT carotid aneurysm that was found by an ultrasound. If she had just treated me like a human being and taken her time, she probably would’ve found it as well.
