on my first visit the Dr said in the hallway on the way to my room she has autism so I cant rely on anything she says this is discriminatory. thats like saying because he's Asian, he must only eat Asian food and knows KungFoo. I asked for a celiac test, because I have major symptoms when I consume gluten. I did report that I have been gluten free for over a year. It would be nearly 2 years now. I have a lot of vitamins, smoothies, and take collagen daily. He recommended a gene test, but with as upset as I was with his discriminatory comment, I was trembling, I said no, I want to do the test my previous doctor suggested, because clearly I couldnt trust his suggestions with that behavior. So I asked how many weeks do I need to consume gluten for an exposure test, he said 2. I was not given instruction in how much gluten. So I ate Gluten for two weeks, not knowing if it would have been enough or not, so I ate quite a bit. My symptoms werent near as bad as they were two years ago, but I… still had minimal itching and a migraine once. But that could be unrelated as we are in the middle of season change, Winter to Spring. I did the test with a result of 0.5 on the one test and no other blood test being continued because cut off is 0.7 for negative (positive for celiac). Great! So I dont have celiac????? I was told by another doctor that with me being gluten free for two years eating gluten two weeks would not produce accurate results. I would need to consume it 6 to 8 weeks. I am really unimpressed, and quite offended by the behavior of this doctor. this doctor does not call me with results of any kind.. dehumanizing objectifying. I called to ask questions, and he had the nurse tell me to refer to the message that did not answer my question in any way shape nor form. Luckily the referring doctor was wonderful. All I asked was if I will need a referral for upper back along with lower back. refused to answer. dismissive. so in two visits.. I experienced 1.discrimination, 2.incompetence, and 3.dehumanizing objectifying and dismissive behavior. IN JUST TWO VISITS I would not recommend this place to literally anyone ever.
