Dr. Daran Jennings Mason, MD

As following the Hippocratic oath.... I personally think Dr. Mason is doing OK in general. Just a little part in handling patients at his office by Dr. Mason's secretary or receptionist is very very ill-educated, poor-mannered and unprofessional as required. Please understand that the patients have been through all the pains physically plus mentally already and just a little smile won't hurt , a little well-mannered in courtesy maybe help relieve some pain away. (PS) Mrs.Melissa! It would has been nice if you could say SORRY after letting the patients wait for hours in front of a closed door at the office since the opening hour was way overdued on 10/4/17. Sincerely.

My OBGYN recommended an ultrasound when I detected a lump on my breast. The Radiologist was concerned and contacted my OBGYN with the results. Instead of making an appointment a week out, I requested to see someone as soon as possible, hoping I could get in to see someone that day. Dr. Mason was recommended by my OBGYN and yes, he could fit me in the same day. I was nervous about seeing a new Doctor, but Dr. Mason was wonderful !!! From the very beginning, his nurses, Melissa S. and Melissa C. made me feel so comfortable as if I had been a patient already. Even with taking me as a new patient on the same day, I did not have to wait. As soon as I got there Melissa and Melissa had all my paperwork ready and I went right in to see Dr. Mason. His bedside manner was wonderful and he spent all the time with me that I wanted. His prognosis was right on and the surgery went well. On the follow up visit everything went with ease just as my first visit had. He had told me to write down all my… questions, which I did, three pages of them. Once again, he spent all the time I needed with him answering all my questions and not rushing through as if I was his only patient. All follow up visits with him and his staff have been great. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mason and his staff of Melissa(s)! I know this is lengthy, but he is great.

Dr Mason is a very concerned physician. He does not give up until he knows what the problem is! He did surgery on my husband a little over a month ago and I highly recommend him to anyone! His nurse Nancy is very sweet and will go out of her way to help others!

Excellent surgeon, great staff, great follow up. Explains everything throughly and makes sure you understand everything and knows all of your options and decisions.

I am not from this area and was fortunate enough to have Dr Mason as my surgeon when I had to go to Infirmary West emergency room. I have been suffering with breast cancer the last 3-4 years. Dr. Mason removed the tumor and my life has been greatly improved. I have never met a more caring, competent doctor and I have seen plenty of doctor since I was diagnosed. I am 80 and now I can look forward to many quality years in the future.
