Darcie Baker, PA

Darcie Baker, PA-C, is a physician assistant at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Quitman who sees patients of all ages. She has been working in healthcare since 1989 and offers a broad range of experience including dermatology procedures, women’s health, geriatrics and memory care. She completed four years in the U.S. Navy working as a hospital corpsman, Darcie was a licensed vocational nurse for four years before attending school to become a physician assistant. “The military gave me purpose, self-esteem and encouraged me to grow and be successful. “Truly my passion is rural family medicine. I enjoy it because you have to know a little bit about everything. There are challenges every day in family practice and nothing is ever the same. Each day presents new challenges and learning opportunities. It gives me the opportunity to develop deep relationships with my patients and be present for their most joyful and difficult moments,” she said.
