Dr. Daren A Watts

He is down to earth, professional, and has bedside manners. He in thorough in explaining things and he listens to your concerns. He is making a personal difference for me. I highly recommend him!

I have had several health issues with endometriosis, I started seeing Daren a few years back. He is nice to every person he sees. I have never seen him treat anyone any different than the last person he saw. I would recommend Daren to anyone. Such a good guy! He actually helps people.

He will smile and greet anyone who is not of color.

For some reason I thought it would be a genius idea to go to a midwife for my medical care the first part of my pregnancy despite major complications with my first. But then I very quickly learned that I don't trust midwives. They weren't doing VERY BASIC care that as someone who was diagnosed with late term pre-eclampsia turned help should be getting. I was literally scared. So I finally called up the doctor who delivered my son, and I asked who was a doctor that they recommend that takes my insurance. They recommended Dr. Watts. BOY AM I GLAD I LISTENED! He and the staff of St. Marks literally saved me and my baby's life. I'm pretty sure he was pulling his hair out--wait... he doesn't have hair to pull out... but if he did he would have-- trying to help me. From a broken wrist, hyperemesis, high blood pressure, to discovering I have a seizure disorder to the pre-term labor contractions, I was a nightmare. Long story short, I trust this man with my life. And I did. I am certain that… without him, its quite possible my daughter and I wouldn't have made it through pregnancy.

Dr. Watts had diagnosed and successfully operated on me 12 years ago to remove endometrial adhesions. This was after nearly 2 decades of progressively more debilitating pelvic pain, during which multiple OBGYN consults and even trips to the ER got me nothing but paternalistic "you'll grow out of it" and "being a woman isn't easy" diagnoses. Well, it turns out that all I needed was an excellent diagnostician and surgeon, i.e. Dr. Watts: just like that, the pain was GONE. I could have hugged him (heck, I probably did). When the pain returned 4 years ago, I had moved out of state by then and had to get back on the OBGYN consult carousel. This time around the diagnoses (and the drugs that came with each new one) looked like a slinky parade. I had surgery again - performed by a doctor in my new state of residence - and my condition went from bad to unbearable. After my most recent OBGYN prescribed, and I quote, "practicing mindfulness" to cope with bouts of pain that left me on the bathroom… floor for hours at a time, curled up around a bucket to throw up in, my husband said, "OK, we're googling Dr. Watts." A week later, we drove to Utah to see him and now, a month later and only about two weeks post-op I'm already medication-free, throw-up-bucket-free, I use the bathroom floor only for tossing towels onto to mess with my husband :), and I reserve mindfulness for pretty sunsets. Yes, I've logged 2,500 miles to have Dr. Watts "fix" me again, and it was worth every bump in the road. He's careful, thoughtful, committed, extremely knowledgeable, and just plain talented. He knows how to listen to the patient to extract the right narrative and he doesn't miss a beat. His staff reflects his skills, values, and care for the patient (his nurse Kim rocks). Oh, and you can't beat that bedside manner and that grin...

I was very happy with my experience at this office. The full staff is very nice and they know what they are doing.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Watts on a recommendation from a friend. I had never been to a Gynecologist and was in need of getting an annual exam. I was terrified to say the least. Dr. Watts was very kind and comforting. He could tell that I was nervous and not looking forward to the exam. He took his time to explain what he was going to be doing before doing anything. During the exam he was very gentle and talked me thorough everything. Dr. Watts was able to take an appointment that caused me a great amount of fear an anxiety and turned it into the best experience that it could have possibly been. It was no where near fun, but it was so much better than I was anticipating. All of the nurses and staff members that I interacted with were very warm and caring as well.

Dr. Watts delivered out first born and we were impressed. We felt comfortable in his care and decision-making. In addition, he is extremely personable and his staff capable and friendly as well. I wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend to him.

Dr. Watts was very caring and willing to listen to my concerns. He was also concerned about my genetics and offered to do some labs for precaution if needed.

Dr. Watts is truly personable and a wonderful physician. I really enjoy talking with him as he does not make me feel rushed. He is very compassionate to my concerns. Very good!
