Dr. Darla Hull, MD

I sat down and within 5 minutes I was taken back by a nurse name Jessica. She told me her name was Jessica and she was taking me back. She did not explain if she was a nurse or not but I believe she was. She was slender and blond, and was nice looking in appearance. She got my weight and my height. I was then taken to an exam room. Right away she jumped straight the point and informed me that the doctor would only be treating two of my problems today, and that she was told to inform me. I was very confused what she meant, and asked what problems I had listed. I had made the appointment a while back and I really just needed a new provider since mine was no longer in practice. She told me, asthma management, birth control management and pap smear, and fibromyalgia management, and labs. She told me she would ask the Dr. but for initial appointments they only will handle two things. I explained refills were the most important. I needed birth control and my steroid inhaler refilled the… most. She then asked me about my med list. I was answering her and trying to fill out the paperwork they gave me. When we got to the part about my Advair inhaler she said she didn’t see it on the med list. She became very short with me and told me “If you would let me finish I could explain.” I would never talk to a client or patient like this so I suppose that was what hurt my feelings. Also the fact that I have had such good care from Cox throughout the years that this caught me off guard. It hurt my feelings honestly. I feel like it was bad bedside manner. That statement with the fast talking made me feel like the appointment was rushed, that I was just a number, and that I was not valued by them. My appointment was for 1pm and I was out by 1:09. The Doc herself was okay but I would not go back. I was very rushed and I did not care for the bedside manner

I've been seeing Dr.H for over 5yrs and have nvr had a problem. As soon as i arrive for my appointment everything just flows.The girls @ the front desk are friendly & quick.Before i even sit down, carol, is already calling my name and nxt thing i know, Dr.H is sitting in the room w/me. She is ez to talk too & i nvr feel rushed. The employees have not changed in the 5yrs i've been going there...which tells me a lot! The office is organized & clean. I'm impressed w/ how smoothly everything runs. IMO, that has to do w/ lil if any staff turnover. Everyone knows their role & they all mesh together. Great Dr. to have if u do not have a lot of time to waste in drs office. I'm always out & on my way back to work in the appropriate amount of time. Her nurse, Carol, is a gem. She is quick to return ur phonecalls! Great family dr to have!

Dr Hull has been our family Dr since she moved to her current location well over 10 years ago. She is always patient and kind and has taken good care of us since day 1. Our children have since grown up and left the nest, but Dr Hull and her nurse Carol always ask after them. Even though I am a male over 50 years old, I would not consider changing.

I have been to the emergency room and other follow up doctors in the past and everyone told me that I was fine and normal. My 1st time with Dr. Hull was great. She did some lab work and got back with me right away that there were some abnormalities with my lab work and is currently working to help me get better. I would highly recommend her. She is the best doctor I have been to in Springfield.

I read the reviews and my personal experience was great with Dr. Hull and her staff was very wonderful also. I would recommend her to anyone.

I would not recommend this doctor. She has a very unfriendly bedside manner and will leave you waiting in the room for a long period of time. Some of the front office staff are unfriendly as well. Very dissatisfied.

Dr. Hull is not a good Doctor. No other words are needed. She has the worst professionalism I have ever experienced.
