Darr Leutz, MD

Dr.Darr Leutz is amazing, he has done my knee replacement and when I had a horrible car accident years ago, he was there in the ER to fix my leg and knee when otherwise it may have been cut off. He’s very good at explaining everything going on with my knee and X-rays, and with any other questions I may have.and very easy to talk to, he has really good bedside manner too, I know I’m in great hands with Dr.Leutz I never thought I should go somewhere else like Chicago,St.Louis etc. I have the best of the best right here in. Quincy,Illinois. and Dr.Leutz is amazing. Do not even hesitate to call for an appointment, you will be so happy you made the call.I’m 110 percent better, no knee pain ever or back pain. It’s wonderful to get my life back. If I have to do any further work in the future, I told Dr.Leutz, he can never retire, lol

Dr. Darr Leutz did not listen to my concerns and input about my condition. He spent very little time with me and over the course of 5 months, did not give a correct diagnosis. Physical therapy suggested that I had a labrum tear in my shoulder. He did not schedule an MRI with a dye injection which is standard procedure for checking for a labrum tear despite my symptoms, input, and the advice from PT. He ran me through nerve tests and despite results indicating that my nerves were fine, he prescribed Gabapentin for nerve pain. His own nurse suggested I find a different doctor due to the negligence and lack of concern he gave me. I went to Dr. Werries and he scheduled the correct MRI on the first appointment and diagnosed me correctly immediately after viewing the results. I had surgery scheduled and my injury repaired within two months of walking into Werries's office. I spent five months in Dr. Leutz's care and walked away with an incorrect diagnosis and awful personal treatment. When I… was inquiring into other doctors for a second opinion, I had a friend of mine tell me who had an ACL and miniscus tear and had surgery with Leutz and he had to get a second surgery because Leutz only fixed his miniscus and left the ACL in it's injured state. Don't choose Leutz.

Very caring and concerned for me before, during and after surgery. Even saw him out in public (away from office) and he came up to me and inquired about my condition.
