Meet Dr. Darrel Bischoff
Peoria Dentist Darrel Bischoff, known as "Dr. B." to his patients, has been practicing Hi-Tech Family, General and Cosmetic Dentistry for over 30 years.
When Dr. Bischoff was five years old, his mother took him to the dentist. Upon seeing all the fun “toys” that the dentist had available to him, young Darrel promptly announced, “When I grow up, I’m going to be a dentist.”
Some things never change. Now, after over 30 years in the dental profession, he is still in love with all the “toys” that are available. Of course, these days, everything is evaluated from the viewpoint of what the new toy will provide in patient comfort and quality of care.  
Dr. Bischoff takes pride in providing a dental office where high quality, high tech dental care and humanity come together in a comfortable and safe setting.    In order to provide that kind of service to his patients, he spends many hours yearly on career enhancing education.   His advance studies …include everything from cosmetic dentistry to dental implants.
Education and training
Dr. Bischoff attended California State University at San Bernardino, and received his B.A in Biology. He did his dental training at Loma Linda University, earning his D.D.S. in 1983. Since then, he’s kept up-to-date on the newest developments in the field through numerous continuing education courses, including those in dental implants, implant restoration, laser dentistry, CEREC, emergency medicine and Invisalign®. His advanced studies are focused on giving his patients the best care available, and to that end he spends 75-100 hours a year on continuing education (4 times the minimum required), staying abreast of current trends. He also remains active in the dental community as a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Bischoff is particularly attracted to the creative end of dentistry. He likes problems and complex cases so he can discover neat, simple solutions. He enjoys the interaction with the patients. And he especially likes the product of people coming in with a mouth that has suffered major deterioration, and then leaving with a mouth that is healthy and (with proper care) will stay that way.

Get to know Dr. Bischoff
In his spare time Dr. Bischoff loves reading. He’s a huge science fiction fan, but will read almost any genre. He enjoys snow skiing and motorcycle riding. But when you walk in to his dental offices, you will see that his particular interest and talent is in watercolor painting and photography. His beautiful fine art work is proudly on display in the office, custom framed since Dr. Bischoff attended a weekend course in framing!
