Dr. Darren Scott Wright, MD

Dr Wright was awesome during a very scary time for me. I had emergency surgery just before Christmas. He was the doctor that took care of me. He was straightforward with me as to what my condition was and what we had to do to correct it. I feel that he is a good doctor. I would suggest him to others.

I’ve dealt with this “doctor” on two seperate occasions, the first was during my pregnancy and the second was when my mom needed a serious procedure that required a biopsy to be done. During the time I saw him personally he was extremely rude and constantly treated me like I was an idiot for having questions and concerns about my pregnancy. He always rushed appointments, avoided questions or made it out like I was stupid for asking questions, and made me uncomfortable. I was also unfortunate enough to have him in the room operating during my cesarean section, he finished stitching me up and my scar looks rigid and horrible and it took me approximately 4-6 months to completely heal. More recently he completed a biopsy procedure on my mom to test for cervical cancer and he ended up cutting her cervix bad enough that she bled for awhile and it took forever to get her to stop bleeding. The procedure should barely feel like a pinch and she was in tears pain and still was when she came home.… All he told her to do was take it easy and if anything happens where she starts bleeding badly again to go to the hospital. He had no sympathy nor did he apologize or admit he messed up and caused unnecessary pain and possible future health risks. I strongly believe this “man” should not be a doctor. He shouldn’t be around people period. Don’t go to him.

With all the things I've been through, I was on my death bed and he saved my life. I could barely see who he was because at that time I was so weak. Not until he operated on me was when I saw who my angel was! He is definitely someone you can trust when you don't know what decision to make.. I was admitted into EMR and was tossed from left to right from doctor to doctor sending me home without results... I finally went back to this hospital for the last time and he was on call and saved me.. I think it was meant for me to go back and forth until I ran into him on my last breath. He is truly and angel that came from Heaven. In other words... Me and my family thank him for his gift... We love him and May God bless his family always.

He did my C-section. The scar is not even noticeable. In fact, I have to point out where it is for people to actually find it. I was very sad when he moved from Morehead City.

Dr. Wright is a horrible doctor. He pressured me to have a section and really messed me up during my section with my first child resulting in me having home health care come pack my wound for 2 weeks and a second surgery. My stomach now looks like somebody took a chainsaw to it. He is probably fine for regular check up visits but I would avoid him at all costs for delivery.
