I had double vicion in my left eye. This impaired my vision immensely. He was honest about my options and then I selected my choice. He was amazing and I now have 20/20 vision. It was not an easy choice but the best for me. He even called me the next morning to see how I was doing. This alone is rare for a doctor to call. I would recommend him as the very best, excellent.

My experience wasn’t a good one. I brought my daughters for the second time to see Dr. Bacal and he was very professional and pleasant. The staff on the other hand was very snobbish, rude, disrespectful and judge mental. If they can change staff and get new friendly and respectful staff the place would be phenomenal because the doctor is very caring to his patients and is friendly with the kids. Anonymous patient.

Dr. Bacal is confident and that’s what I want when it concerns my sons surgery I’m very pleased with his knowledge . And he really took the time to explain it to a momma that was a nervous wreck.

Dr. Bacal is a very excellent doctor and he’s extremely confident and that’s what made me at ease with the surgery, He listened to me as a Mom and really made the whole process easy . I was struggling with the whole process my son is 8 yrs old and I was so scared .

Dr.Bacal performed corrective eye surgery on my daughter 7 years ago and it was the best thing he can ever do for her. She had a severe lazy eye and wondering eye very Bad and let me tell you, having him doing surgery on my daughter was the best decision I had ever made in my life. Thanks to my children pediatrician for recommending him to me and my kids. I will recommend him a 1000% with my eyes closed, his staff, at his office and at the hospital at Yale are awesome. They are very polite, very friendly, he will answer every single question you will have before and after surgery or even on regular visits. Dr. Bacal performed corrective eye surgery on two of my sons at Yale. He was highly recommended by our pediatrician and a number of friends. We were very pleased with his care, his team, and the entire team at Yale. He answered all of our questions before and after surgery, and was very good with our young sons, and us. He gets my highest recommendation.

Dr.bacal is a amazing doctor , i had bad strabismus and dr bacal performed eye muscle surgery and now my eyes are perfectly straight ! His bedside manner is very professional and caring and jean who does the scheduling was helpful and understanding.I highly recommend dr bacal and his staff.

Dr. Bacal came recommended to us when my son was 2 by our pediatrician. He was deemed the best in the state. Exactly what I was looking for and to hear as my son's eye was beginning to cross in. After scheduling an initial appointment, I was hearing his name all over! Kids school, around town, and at work! A clear good sign. He performed surgery about a year later with great success. Dr. Bacal is a phenomenal surgeon/physician. He may not always be warm and fuzzy, but you will be getting the BEST care available. We moved and I STILL drive my son to him. Dr Bacal is an excellent physician. He was able to quickly diagnose our daughter with a rare eye cancer (retinoblastoma) and help us to get the best treatment for her. Because of his quick diagnosis, our daughter's eye was saved and some vision restored. He is our eye physician for both of our children and is highly qualified and recommended.

We have used Dr Bacal for almost 20 years for our children's eye issues. Dr Bacal has been spectacular in all of our children's needs. Always treating their issues with the utmost of professionalism!!! Always pointing us in the right direction for school needs.
