Dr. David Peter Allison, MD

I'm inclined to believe that the patients that scored Dr. Allison with 1 star had some of their own personalities/beliefs that conflicted with his advice. Dr. Allison is an extremely kind, thorough, and patient doctor. I have been taking my 2 girls to see him for the past 7 years. Between behavioral issues, sports injuries, travel vaccination advice, etc, we see him ALL of the time. I have never had an issue with his bedside manner, and he is always willing to answer any questions or concerns and takes as much time as is needed to take care of my kids. We love Dr. Allison and hope he is able to remain our pediatrician until the girls are grown.

I too wish I had read the comments before scheduling an appointment. We started off on a regular vaccine schedule but after a friendâ??s baby had a moderate reaction we decided we wanted to spread out the shots. Dr. Allison was very angry about this and told us that we should not look at â??junkâ?? websites for information and that he is â??sick and tired of talking to parents about their concerns about vaccinesâ??. He also suggested that we find another clinic. I left the office in tears as well - I really just wanted to talk about the issue and come up with a plan to space them out. We are not anti-vaccine. With all of the information (both true and false) out there about vaccines, doctors should at least be willing to talk to parents about the issues. We were very respectful toward him and did not receive the same treatment in return. The office manger was informed about what happened and did not really care.

Dr. Allison has horrible bedside manners. Guess I should have read the previous comments earlier. It is unfortunate that he believes that he is better than the general population and dont have time for his patients nor their parents. Should reconsider his practice and his current approach to health-care.

We saw Dr. Allison for the first time yesterday. He was very caring with my son and took time to talk to me and answer my questions. He recommended a new approach to treat his issue and it seems to be working. We will be back to see him again!

I have never in my life been treated as horribly as I was treated by Dr. Allison. After I asked a few questions he apparently become annoyed and aggressively slammed my referral and Rx down and told me to go home and get on the computer and figure it out myself. He walked out of the room and slammed the door in my face. Thank goodness for the courtesy of the office staff. I've never left a health professional's office in tears. As a parent I have the right and responsibility to ask the pediatrician to clarify something if I don't understand it. Dr. Allison's advice? Go home and google it.

Although we have often had to wait a while this whole office of Doctors is amazing! They are all genuine caring people who really are excellent with the kids. They are great about getting back to me via the phone when I have a question and do not jump to use medication unless my child is truly sick. I highly recommend this office.
