Dr. David Andrew Barnhart, MD

My boys saw Dr. Barnhart frim birth until after high school graduation. We love Dr. B!

Dr. Barnhart was my pediatrician up to age 13 or 14, and my parents and I both adored him. He was always gentle with me and very personal, he never rushed or appeared to be in a bad mood, and he always succeeded in making me smile each visit. Unfortunately, I can't comment on how the office is run as it's been a while since I've visited and I'm sure those things change. Care was excellent though and he really made us feel like family. Highly recommend!

My child was recently been under the care of Dr. Barnhart. I have since changed pediatricians. He was unable to get my child well for COMMON illnesses. I'm upset with myself that I allowed my child to stay ill for as long as he did because I had faith in Dr. Barnhart for too long. Although pleasant, I do not recommend him if you are person like myself who expects modern medicine. Example, he ordered 10-15 minute nebulizer treatments multiple times of the day for my infant when there is an alternate inhaler version of the same medicine that could be just as, if not more, effective. Not only was this an expense of our time, but also my insurance. Despite that fact that insurance "pays," I don't believe that Dr. Barnhart is conscious of the costs of health care (and deductibles!), and ordering supplies and studies that don't benefit the patient is ultimatley an expense to us all. Unfortunatley, my above complaints were confirmed in a professional manner by a second pedicatrician… and the specialist I finally saw because I requested to see one. Dr. Barnhart did not offer the referral to the specialist. My child would still be ill if I had not been proactive.

All 3 of my girls went to Dr. Barnhart and wish they could have continued when they grew up! He's always been a caring doctor that knew what to do for our girls and even has seen grandchildren of ours! He is one of the best.
