Dr. David Aaron Birnbaum, MD

I saw Dr. Birnbaum three times for the same problem. Misdiagnosed on all three visits. One visit he told me I had meningitis, but never sent me for a spinal tap which is mandatory if meningitis is suspected in case it's the bacterial type.

Excellent Doctor.

If you have any ongoing medical needs you'd be better off with someone else who is better about follow through and follow up with patients. He left his practice and left me without proper follow up with my home health care and my infusion needs and no port care and supplies. Be careful with this man and keep on top of your own medical care.

I think Dr. Birnbaum is an astute diagnostician, but a bit hyperactive. I like him.

I didnt like his firm rudess. I told him i have had a long time oain in my lower right side back to my hip and leg. So he stands up press really hard on my lower back. He asked me if it hurt well yes it did when he was pushing very hard on my lower back. He told me what was causing the pain and gave me muscal relaxers and told me to put ice on it. He didnt order any test to see what was wrong. I so dont like this doctor at all.

Alexian Brother wanted to charge me .12 a page and Ihave 10 years with this doc before he upped and lefBarrington....I WANT MY RECORDS DR. B.. You at least owe me that.....

I was very unhappy with this doctor. He would spend less than 2 minutes in the room with me. Did not listen to me when I tried to explain what was wrong and was very quick to dish out pills. When I finally left, he had me on such a high dosage of medication that I could barely function. My new doctor didn't even believe me when I told her how much I was on until I showed her the bottles. She said it was a huge overdose! He also would not call for appointment reminders, and said that it is the patient's responsibility to remember, that on top of his no perfume rule.... way too many hoops to jump through for this guy.

Very friendly but could hear him shouting at his office staff.. very unprofessional. However, his knowlege and experience is outstanding!If I'm sick I want him as my doc.. Just not as my husband or boss...

I have been a pt of dr. B for 22 years. I have been trying to get medication refilled for a few weeks now. today I called and every phone number is disconeccted. A sign on the office door indicate that Dr. B. closed the office and moved out of town. No other information is available. Ok, great, now what do I do about my meds. Unreal.

I agree with previous reviews... Likes to take tests and referrals. Communication skills are less than ideal and seems to only want to get to the next patient and finish his day.
