I just moved into the neighborhood and after a recommendation from a friend I made my appointment. Just a basic check-up but I did not have to wait long and the service by Dr Butler and was great. Definitely recommend to anyone in the north Austin area.

He is involved in my care and won't let me slide on what I need to do that is best for my health. Asks questions and works with me on an approach which includes exercise and diet.

Dr. David Butler has been my primary care Physician for over 20 years. Finding a doctor who focuses on whole body health and not just pills and shots can become something of a challenge; but once I found Butler, I knew my search had ended. Every visit becomes an in-depth discussion of what is happening not only with our symptoms, but our lives, diets, and the rest of our body. He is without a doubt the most caring and intelligent professional practicing medicine anywhere. He is very thorough in his evaluations and willing to help answer any questions you have. My checkups and other appointments are very thorough. In fact, my exams result in referrals for additional tests that other doctors had never even considered. On more than one occasion, some tests have resulted in determining life threatening conditions. I am always able to discuss concerns and to ask questions, knowing that my provider will be responsive. On occasion, I am given some flexibility to adjust my medication a bit to… see if works for me. You are not just a number at this practice. Dr. Butler recognizes that you and your body are unique and that one treatment is not necessarily appropriate for all. You will find the same rare caring and skills from Dr. Butler, one would expect from a small town doctor that knows everyone's name. Dr. Butler doesn’t suffer fools or idiots whether among other professionals or even some patients who unfairly seek to disparage him, and rightfully so. I think his knowledge of so many problems and willingness to look at new ways to treat old problems ranks with the most excellent doctors. Simply put,

I was a former patient of Dr. Butler from 2003 to 2018 but I moved and had to get a new doctor. He was a very good doctor and an all around gentleman. He always recommended the very best specialists in the Austin Metro Area when I needed one. He did encourage Liberty Pharmacy but I told him my work hours suited a 24 hour pharmacy better so Liberty would not work for me. He had no problem with that and had the staff at the front desk change to a 24 hour pharmacy of my choosing. His staff consisted of a professional group of young women who were also very nice. They have been with his practice for many years. I could tell they really liked and respected him. He is an understanding man who sees the best in everyone.

I went a few times for mostly allergy problems, the flu. He thinks hes really something & just comes into the room & looks at you with such a creepy dirty smirk. He insists on using Liberty pharmacy which is so weird, he must financially get money off each patient he sends, I don't know, but he wants lab work on everything & I mean everything. He is so unprofessional in so many ways & that's all I will say about that... Please keep looking bexause he is not a good Dr & both men & women get creepy feelings from him...I would never recommend him to anyone.no way...

Not medical related, but Mr Butler yelled at me and young daughter and actually spit in my face as we walked to her elementary school. The reason? We parked on a public street in front of his home (not blocking his driveway) or causing any inconvenience to him. There were many witnesses to this, and all looked on in horror as he did this. I have never met a more terrifying person, and was appalled to learn that he is a doctor! The reviews here do not surprise me, as he is a ticking time bomb. Yelling and terrifying a young girl walking to school, shame on you Mr Butler!

If you are looking for a Dr. that is very unprofessional & a complete jerk here he is... It's crazy how he still is in practice because of his conduct. He insists on his patients going to Liberty pharmacy, very strange indeed. The pharmacist at Liberty is really weird as well.. This Dr. flirts & acts inappropriate with female patients, if that's not bad enough he has a staff of all women who are NOT qualified & clueless... Better keep on looking because this is NOT good,,.beware of BOTH Liberty pharmacy & Dr. Butler...yuk!!

Literally.....STAY AWAY. I agree with the other guy who reviewed. He insists on "Liberty Pharmacy" and they SUCK. They get patient info wrong and are way over priced!!! This doctor probably gets a cut from their revenue. Not to mention, his nurses are incompetent, rude and UN-helpful. Dr. David Butler over does it on unnecessary tests and lab work. He thinks he knows how to run an office, but by misjudging his staff (thinking they can do no wrong) and treating his patients the way he does (JERK to say the least), he will ultimately lose a lot of patients. He lost 4 with our family. It does not surprise me in the least to see all of these bad reviews. I feel sorry for the guy.
