Dr. David R. Chavez, MD

Was called to come in early & once I got there waited 50 minutes (with a toddler). Blake (?) did a great job making my child feel comfortable & was a delight to be around. Dr Chavez talked down to me, & raised his voice. I felt uncomfortable. I will not go back nor will I recommend him to anyone.

Very rude to my wife, and both verbally and physically abusive to my two year old son. Should not be allowed to treat children.

After checking in, we waited over an hour just to be taken back to a room. Once there, another 45 minutes, and not once did anyone apologize for the wait. A simple "I apologize for the wait" would have been nice. Overall, we were there for 3 hours, and spend about 15 minutes total with Dr. Chavez. I will not go back to him. Would rather drive to Salt Lake to see a doctor for my daughter, even if it is 4x as far away. Dr. Chavez was also very condescending in speaking with me.

Chavez is a skilled surgeon and clearly knowledgeable in his field. That side of his practice is excellent.However, the follow-up and scheduling is a nightmare with this office. They have canceled appointments and not called to reschedule. They also failed to get all the pertinent test information (which they ordered) prior to a visit... nor have they checked to see if those tests have actually been done. We have had to call several times for both of these issues.
