Dr. David M Choi, MD

I was very nervous to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist because I knew that my vision was really bad due to cataracts. Long story short he was very kind & concerned. We make an appt to have surgery on the left eye first and it was like a miracle..my world was so much brighter. I will be going in this Thursday for the right eye and instead of being afraid I am excited. I know I am in good hands.

I wou]d like to tell you whether or not this is a good doctor but, unfortunately, when I tried to make an appointment I was told I should go somewhere else. Offered no explanation as to why so I wouldn't recommend.

Cataract surgery with Dr Choi is a pleasant experience. You really feel that he is putting his effort into making sure your outcome will be excellent. The post surgery instructions were well organized onto a sheet that told me what drops to use each day.

Dr Choi is an excellent doctor, personable, and knowledgable. He has a lot of patients, especially for cataract surgery. With children he takes the time to make them comfortable, playing with them and putting stickers on them, while trying to examine them. He is board certified, teaches residents, and was trained by a world class ophthalmic surgeon. The biggest problem in seeing him is that his clinic is really busy, and so you may have to wait longer to see him.

Terrible bedside manner, I would not recommend, especially not for your child. He laughed during our visit,consistently, as my son sat in pain with photo phobia. I wish I could post a picture of his eyes.
