Dr D. Eric Collins, MD

I him twice. First time he prescribed me prednisone and was very nice. The second time I told him I still felt like something was crawling on my face. He spent 5 minutes with me after making me wait for 35 minutes. Told me there was nothing he could do and prescribed me nothing. I have no problem with him prescribing me nothing but he didn’t order any further tests, blood tests, MRI, CT scan, nothing.

TERRIBLE DOCTOR! DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR! He sits behind his computer and diagnosis you. It was easy to get an appointment with him, but that is because he has no appointments because he is a BAD doctor.

Terrible Doctor. He sat on his computer the entire time of our appointment. He examined me for all of 5 minutes with minimal, thoughtless checks. Then he diagnosed me with all kinds of outrageous ailments which only a doctor with a long history with a patient would begin to even think about. I found this doctor in the yellow pages (no referral). I understand why it was so easy to get an appointment with him. Horrible and not knowledgeable. I will never go back. I caution others to not go to him either. Go to a doctor whom you have received a referral on. NEVER go to a yellow pages doctor.

This doctor does not make you feel at ease and is very cold and clinical. I was actually referred to a different doctor in this office however, she was booked out for months. I was asked if I would like to see Dr. Collins instead and I said yes because he was available. What a mistake! Find a doctor who is caring and feels like he/she wants to help. I can't believe he is still practicing in this area.

I rather abhor psychological evaluations, and wasn't happy when EC was brought in. Let's face it, I distrust authority; detest being evaluated for my rather strong behavior; and was initially very unhappy and sceptical of Doc EC, as I am of all authority figures. That said, I walked away from my initial experience--not entirely blowing him off--as is usual with me. However, he somehow stuck with me like a friendly cold sore, and now, 5 years later, he has become a trusted confidant and close advisor, and I don't mean that AT ALL in a light sense. That just doesn't happen with me. Eric has earned my trust and my willingness to be completely me with him. He is one of the few Mensa-brilliant docs who actually has a personality and a strong understanding of the realities of The Human Condition. Compassion is generally not one of the adjectives used in a sentence concerning those types of docs. It is with Eric. Despite my initial fears, a true winner. You'll like him.

This doctor is terrible. His receptionist is a piece of trash who in not courteous or polite and takes her sweet time with whatever she is helping you with. She actually acts bothered when you ask her for help. Also, i've been trying to reach the doctor for about 6 days now for an urgent medical information update, calling every single day, and the receptionist still has not put me through to him.The doctor Collins himself is absolute rubbish. He saw me for 20 minutes, prescribed me medication that acts directly against another med I'm taking, and never once informed me about this risk. I almost died and it would have been on his hands. Let me say this again. Because of his negligence in the medicine he prescribes, I ALMOST DIED.DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! PLEASE, I'm writing this for the sake of anyone who needs a neurologist, this is NOT the guy for you.

This guy is terrible for the following reasons:-doesn't spend enough time with patient-receptionist is RUDE, slow, not courteous, and has major attitude-prescribed epilepsy medication that has a known counter-effectto meds I am currently on. I made him fully aware of the meds I was taking, and he didn't even warn me about mixing the two. I went to the ER and almost died because of this man. He still accepts no responsibility for his actions. Stay very far away from this doctor.

My primary wrote a prescription for me to have my brain scanned for any "problems", and he said that my "brain was beautiful". About six months later I was diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea. If that doesn't affect your brain, what does?

Was told to arrive fifteen minutes early for first appointment of the day. Had to wait an hour to see doctor. Doctor was in hurry spent little time discussing my medical issues. Due to extreme pain requested urgent request for referral/approval of procedure that doctor Collins recommended. The request was made by staff without urgent status and am still waiting for approval a week later. Will not go back to this doctor again.

I left his office without a diagnosis Lacks caring bedside manner. Very clinical -- not willing to answer questions in laymans terms.
