My hand is so stiff! It never worked well!!! I wish I had never had surgery with him.

Being a lifelong diabetic and having messed up my hands doing reports on computer, Dr. Conyers knew when an operation had to be performed versus getting physical therapy. He actually learned how to feel the condition of hand joints and tendons, when putting the hand through various movements. Very amazing.

After scheduling my surgery twice due to misinformation by their office, I woke up with my wrist and hand twice their size. Surgery was on a Friday, so when I woke up the next day with my fingers twice their normal size and purple with the pain so intense that I had to unwrap my wrist myself in order to get some kind of relief before I went to the emergency room. I didn't go to the emergency room however because I started taking twice the amount of pain killers prescribed. It was a weekend so I had to wait until Monday before they got back to me. The color came back to my hand, but the back of my hand is completely numb. Dr. Conyers told me that the nerves were a little angry at us right now, but the sensation should come back. Guess what ? It hasn't ! I keep banging my hand on objects and thinking I'm banging the cast, but I'm banging my hand. I hope I never get frost bite or a burn or a cut on the back of my once good right hand !!

this is my second surgery with Dr. Conyers-different reasons-and I will go to him first every time. Takes time to answer questions, etc

Dr. Conyers was wonderful! He took time to thoroughly explain what was going on with my hand and even drew pictures for me to help clarify things. His bedside manner with me was great. He was fun and extremely courteous. When I had my surgery he was kind and I genuinely felt that he cared about helping me get better. My surgery went really well and I would have no hesitation having him work on me again or recommending him to my family and friends.

My entire experience was a disaster. My first surgery was cancelled when I arrived at the hospital because he had the wrong knuckle. Then he scheduled surgery in Wheatridge instead of Boulder for his convenience. I ended up with three surgeries and then he said my only option was to get a fourth surgery. I now have a nonfuctional index finger on my left hand.

I severed the end of my thumb, across the base of the thumbnail, in an accident. The nail bed wasn't completely cleaned out by the emergency room Orthopedist. He tried again, twice, over a couple of years. After he left town I tried another Orthopedist, who put me through MRIs, and also failed to fix my problem. A nurse at Boulder Orthopedists actually suggested Dr. Conyers, who was confident, competent, and extremely patient as he worked to remove the cyst that had formed, once again, on the end of my thumb. This time it didn't come back. He knows his hands and I'd recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend Dr Conyers to anyone in need of a hand specialist! He was able to clearly explain what my problems were, the options, and expected outcomes. He doesn't sugar coat the truth, which is sometimes hard to hear.I have arthritis in both hands. He was able to stabilize and fix both thumbs (including cleaning up a mess from another doctor who's promises were lacking) and clean out one finger were the bones were grinding on inner layers.I especially appreciate that he works to make the scars as invisible as possible.

Dr Conyers & staff were great! I was very nervous about having surgery, they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.
