Dr. David A Dischler, DDS

Dr. Dischler graduated from New York University 1977. He moved with his family to Arizona that year and began his practice in Scottsdale. He mentored with a senior dentist for five years during which time he worked in his private practice on a part time basis. Dr. Dischler is past president of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, the Arizona Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Society. After completing a 6 hour exam was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has accumulated over 500 hours of continuing education since that time and is presently working toward another degree in Dentistry and will advance to the next level in 2012. Dr. Dischler has been inducted into three honorary Academies for his leadership and volunteer work in the local and state dental associations. He is presently involved with the American Academy of Dentistry, The International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Dischler recently served as a …board member of the Charitable Foundation for a local non-profit insurance company.
Tena Dischler is our office administrator and has been married to Dr. Dischler since August, 1971. Tena’s degrees include a Bachelor in Biology, a Masters Degree in Science and is certified as a Clinical Bacteriologist. She has accumulated over 300 hours of continuing education and is presently pursuing a Doctorate in Health Sciences. Tena is also a Board Director certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors. She is the business administrator in our practice since it opened in 1977 and handles the day to day operations. Tena oversaw our program to administer services to Nursing Home patients regarding their oral care and training of the facility’s employees for many years.  Tena and Dr. Dischler did leadership training and office administration training for the Arizona Dental Association during the 1990’s.
Charlene is our chief hygienist and received her Dental Hygiene degree from Phoenix College. She went on to complete her Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Arizona University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Continuing education is highly valued in our practice helping us keep abreast of the latest research in dentistry. Charlene has accumulated over 1500 hours of continuing education credits in her profession. We treat all of our patients as if they were our family, which makes our office a fun, comfortable place to work. Charlene always tries her hardest to make your visit with us as comfortable as possible.
Jocelyn is a Certified Dental Hygienist and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association and has accumulated over 1200 continuing education credits in her profession and is an integral part of our practice. Jocelyn resides in Scottsdale with her husband, a professor and physician, her beautiful daughter, and is an avid gardener. Her patients are very special to her and she compliments the spirit and philosophy of our practice.
Noemi is a Certified Dental Hygienist graduating from Miami Dade College and practiced in Florida for many years. She juggles a busy schedule with a husband and two small children. Noemi is active in her church and volunteers much of her free time working with students at ASU through the Young Life Organization. Her passions are her family, walks along the Oceans edge, and chocolate. She enjoys dentistry and helping her patients keep their beautiful smiles.
Wendy is a Certified Dental Assistant and she brings 25 years of dental office experience to our practice. Wendy is educated in front office operations and all aspects of dentistry, including our “Zoom” whitening system. Wendy is x-ray certified with a certificate from Phoenix College and also certified in coronal polishing. When she is not in our office she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and enjoys outdoor activities including camping and quad riding.
