Dr. David Allen Fife, MD

I was told that Dr. David Fife and Dr. Daniel Merrill are head of the Generation ward at Mountain Vista Medical center. This is for people with mental illness. My friend went there to get her medication adjusted. Well this is run like a prison. You are only able to visit for 1hr, once a week and only one person. Getting calls to them is a joke. From what I am told the Doctor never saw her only a nurse practitioner. She never called me to up date me on Wanda's condition. In fact even though I am the primary POA she would not talk to me at all. Her resident Andrew only called when we ( me and another POA) would complain that we have not heard from them. They had staff meeting but we were never included. They never got a medical history from us, if they had they would have know she was a high fall risk. The 2nd day she was there she fell and fractured her right orbital. She was also recovering from a hip fracture and they did not check that until I mentioned it to a nurse. This is the… worst place for someone who is mentally ill. Judy

This doctor was wonderful to work with although getting an appointment was difficult. He answered all of my questions and was caring and let us know our options.
