Dr. David John Fischer, MD

I was seeing a forensic psychiatrist who doesn't make appointments, call in prescriptions under any circumstances, and who only takes evening walk ins, I found myself prescription less and drowning in a sea of panic because said doctor took a Christmas vacation and disappeared. I spent the day calling anyone and everyone I could from my insurance list to google. I came across Dr. Fischer's name, called him, and he had me in his office in a matter of two hours. He's incredible. Compassionate, kind, thorough, caring, the list goes on and on. I'd been previously suffering from being under medicated, and Dr. Fischer immediately upped my doses. I finally found the relief I'd been seeking for so long. My depression and panic and finally under control. I remember an instance not long after becoming a patient that I in simple terms lost my medication. Without a shadow of doubt, or ounce of uncertainty or reservation, he gave me all new prescriptions. He is my hero. A god among men if you… will. I have never respected another doctor more in all my 33 years. I will never forget his kindness, his willingness to listen and make gentle suggestions, his genuine concern for me as a person. I would recommend this man to every family member, friend, or stranger or the street. If you want a good psychiatrist and not someone who is going to charge you $500 a week to life coach you or teach you how to deal with very real and scary panic, then this is the man you want to see.

Dr. Fischer is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. Life is hard because I have to deal with symptoms associated with being in combat, but dDr. Fischer has made life so much easier. He listens to you, isn't pompous, prescribes medications that work, and sincerely cares. I love the fact that he doesn't experiment on me with the newest FDA approved medications that are expensive, have a high side effect profile, and are not effective. He is an old school doctor and I am honored to have him on my team of caring physicians. Again, he is the best psychiatrist I have seen.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Fischer for my wife on ZocDoc (awesome app btw). In his "Professional Statement" he claims the following "Although we are not in network with your insurance company, we make every effort to ensure you are covered. After we submit your claim, you will be billed for your balance once we receive insurance payment." My wife arrived to her appoint expecting an office staff and instead was confronted with a very rude (not just gruff and short tone of voice, but eye rolling when she brought up her insurance questions) Dr. Fischer. He then requested a 400$ exam fee upfront. Had he not been so rude and misleading he likely would have gotten the money he asked for, even though it was such an obscene amount for a consultation. She went to this physician looking for help and instead was given a hard time, belittled and lied to. Avoid this "physician" as all he is clearly interested in is taking care of is his wallet.

He prescribes name brand without offering generics or asking about financial situation, which can be a huge financial burden. He also eagerly over-prescribes medicine without getting to know his client well. His rates are outrageous.

I've been seeing pyschiatrists for adult ADHD & OCD for over twenty years. I gave up on most after 1-2 years but have been seeing Dr Fischer for 6 years and counting. He is the first doctor who has nailed my medical "cocktail" allowing me to perform at work and maintain relationships that prior to seeintg him were getting increasingly more difficult.

Been a patient of his for over 7 years. He is attentive, open minded, fair, and straight to point. Dr. Fischer is very nice and is concern about his clients health, needs, and wellbeing. You can discuss any issue(s)with him because he listens to your problems. I value his opinion and he helped my thru many difficult times in my life. Would recommend to others.

Dr. David Fischer is an effective doctor in his field that I have seen in a longtime. When it comes to interacting with his patients, he shows consistent caring and is dedicated to their treatment. I would definitely recommend Dr. David Fischer for his expertise to my family and friends in need of good service.

Dr. Fischer is a warm, caring, professional.He is an excellent diagnostician and is very diligent in finding the best drug for my symptoms. I give him an excellent recommendation with no reservations

Fischer is very aggressive about medicating, and more medicating as that is his subspecialty. He is also very aggressive about medicating off-label, which is not necessarily dangerous IF you have close follow up. But Dr. Fischer does not often explore NOT medicating. And he does not routinely do close follow-up for every medication he dispenses, which is risky and irresponsible. He medicated my wife into oblivion largely because she did not tell him the info he needed, but he never stopped to find out what was going on -- or that she was physically violent, abusive, insomniac and now becoming delusional. Watch out.
