David Lee Garver

In my opinion, David Garver jumped to conclusions. I have to wonder if he did so because of some predjudice, and/or his wanting to express his own anger. In addition, David Garver did not seem to understand how a particular medication affects a patient, and this surprised me. I thought his mind was made up, such that he wasn't interested in learning from a patient's feedback. I'd rather have a psychiatrist who is more open to what I have to say, and who doesn't seem to have preconceived opinions that are so rigid. Before I had an opinion of David Garver, another patient in the waiting room expressed their dissatisafction about him, to me. I never saw this patient again. I pride myself on my ability to remain objective, so I think I base my conclusions about David Garver solely on my own experiences. There are so many psychiatrists, I would recommend shopping around before going to David Garver.

Disorganized and forgetful. I would often have to remind him of what pills I was on and how much and why were at that point with them. He also was not accessible working only two days a week. So if you do have side effects from the medications, your choices are to an ER. I was really disappointed and question his judgment in general. He did not connect with me or often even listen to me. No eye contact. Very old school thinker.

Dr. Garver shows little to no empathy toward patient. He is overly concerned with patient's family medical history while remaining willfully ignorant of patient's personal medical history. He feels confident making a "diagnosis" after glancing only a few minutes at patient history notes and without conferring or collaborating with other medical professionals who are involved in patient care. I got a second opinion and a completely different diagnosis. You should too.
