Dr. David Philip Gerard, MD

great doctor!

I am not recommending this doctor. The recovery after endoscopy's sedation took two days! Because of his rush, he doubled the dosage of sedation medication.

This man has no people skills. Stay away

Dr. Gerard is a wonderful doctor. My entire family has been seeing him for years for a variety of GI issues. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He has performed colonoscopies and endoscopies on my entire family, and he is extremely skilled at these procedures. His staff is also very nice and helpful.

Frankly, Dr. Gerard was rude and impatient. I tried to explain to him the issues I had been having but he seemed completely uninterested. I told him that I felt that my issues were more significant that what he was diagnosing me with. After I told him what I thought could be my issue and he spoke very condescendingly to me. I decided that I would try what he had prescribed to fix the issue and ended up needing to go to the ER the next day because I was in so much pain. They were also able to tell me that I did have a more significant issue. Now I have to pay a hospital bill as well as Dr. Gerard for a "service" he really did not provide.

DR Gerard is an excllent Dr and he always explains things in details. Also the staff is very polite and cares about their patients

AWFUL- stay away- will continue to put you on medication that doesn't work- saw him for c-diff- after months of not getting better, decided to see BETTER DOCTOR who properly treated me

my problem is ongoing ( a year at this point)--I think the Dr. has the problem 'nailed' but I have not had any relief--I'm afraid to leave the house---a friend seems to have the same colitis--and her Dr. gave her a steroid--and her problem seems to be better--maybe I should look into a different Dr.......
