Dr. David Michael Goldenberg, MD

I am not commenting about their proficiency in medicine, I am responding to their office practices. I went in to see Dr Goldberg for a flat dark spot on my forehead. He looked and said "it's nothing to worry about, it's not cancerous or pre-cancer but if you want me to remove it, I'll remove it." I said "remove it". There was no discussion about, "It'll cost X amount to remove it". The procedure, in his regular exam room, took 5 or so minutes. Then I see that he billed several thousand of dollars to my Medicare and that I was responsible for $1000 or so. I explained that I had no idea that I would be liable for $1000 and no idea that the procedure cost several thousands of dollars. There was no suggestion of "payments" or reduced amount (I'm 70 and a disabled veteran) and they refused to see me (allegedly they checked with Dr. Goldenberg) at a scheduled appointment for another unrelated issue. Since the "5 minute procedure", I have added Plan F, which covers 100% of the… costs and expenses and has no deductible. So at that scheduled new appointment, they would not have any co-pay issues or deductible issue. Yet they refused my care. Not good at all. My impression that Dr Goldenberg is driven by his practice's need to drive revenue over compassionate and competent medical care.

Dr. Goldenberg and his staff were amazing. I had an unfortunate event with my dog where a huge chunk of my lip had been bitten off. Dr. Goldenberg not only assured me things would be alright, but also he followed through with an excellent and successful surgery. Four months later my lip is back to normal and feeling great. Even though I have facial hair, the scar is barely noticeable. And more importantly I'm healthy and was quickly back to normalcy. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldenberg to anyone.

Dr. Goldenberg was extremely knowledgable and he made my out patient surgery go very smoothly. He made sure to call me the next day to see how I was feeling. It's now almost 6 months after my surgery and it's healing better than I thought it would. I would highly recommend him and his staff is always very friendly.

I recently had a squamous cell skin cancer removed from my chest. The area is visible so I was super concerned with how it would look after It was removed. I was shocked when I removed the bandage, you can hardly see the scar. Really happy with the results. Highly recommend Dr. Goldenberg

I was in a car accident in 2016, another driver hit me, and I notice something start to grow on my neck. Dr Goldenberg removed a pretty large lipoma from my neck/back and I actually waited a year to do the surgery because I am one of those people that would rather heal it the natural way rather than go right into surgery so I tried naturopath healing with cold laser therapy and it really helped, but it didn't completely make the pain go away. I was also reluctant to go back because the billing department at first told me I couldn't do a payment plan and I needed to pay my bill up front. I was so upset at how mean they were that was a huge reason i decided not to get the surgery in the first place, but I needed it out so I decided to go back and get the surgery. Oh and I found out I WAS able to do a payment plan so I was misinformed by someone so I didnt completely blame Dr Goldenberg for it. Nonetheless, from when I arrived at Danbury Hospital to my last visit with Dr Goldenberg I… really feel like him and his staff treated me like they cared. They always let me know what was going on and the whole process was very easy. It was my first surgery ever so I was nervous to begin with. My follow up visit was very straight forward and what really got me is he seemed like he really cared even after they got my money so all in all I gave a 4 because of the billing issue, but 5 for Dr Goldenberg. Thank you.

I have been seeing Dr. Goldenberg for 2 years. I had multiple skin cancers which he removed with amazing results. My Dermatologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering is very impressed with his work. Dr. Goldenberg is a kind and compassionate doctor.

I had a cyst removed from my scalp. Dr. Goldenberg and his entire staff from the front office to the nurses were efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant and extremely proficient. It's hard to imagine that three visits to the doctor's office to get you head cut on could be so pleasant and "painless". Kudos to Dr. Goldenberg and all his staff.

Dr. Goldenberg is an excellent diagnostician and surgeon. Easy to ask questions of and confident of his answers and advice. Not inclined to do unnecessary procedures.

I was very pleased with the care that I received from Dr. Goldenberg. I am also very pleased with the outcome. I can’t even see the scar on my lip. He did a amazing job. Very thorough and took his time to explain the procedure and the outcome. His staff was very friendly also. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldenberg.

Dr Goldenberg removed a basil carcinoma from the top of my head. The surgery went well and he removed all the cancer. There isn't even a scar! He was very clear and concise about what would happen. My experience with him was excellent.
