Dr. David W. Grambow, MD

Doesn't care about ll his patients. After numerous appointments finally got appointment year ago. Was going to put me on monitor year ago, never happened and never could get answer. Now they called to cancel my year appointment. Just doesn't care SAD

I've been a patient of Dr Grambow's since 2000 so it's been 20 yrs. Back then, I was 50 yrs old and had just ONE short stabbing chest pain, but immediately afterward quite noticeable shortness of breath. I was referred to Dr. Grambow randomly by a family Doctor I no longer see. It was a crapshoot! I won the lottery, as far as I'm concerned! Dr. Grambow evaluated me immediately the next day and inserted two stents. I had 95% blockage in one of my arteries in my heart. He took care of me for the next 17 years when suddenly, I was out of breath again. A stress test indicated surgery was needed. Dr Grambow said, "Well...I'd say 17 years on two stents was a pretty good run, Robert!" I laughed and agreed. Then Dr. Grambow turned me over to a Cardio-thoracic surgeon who is part of his team, Dr. Scott Schlidt. Again, I was randomly assigned a cardio-thoracic surgeon who turned out to be solid GOLD! Dr. Schlidt performs "Beating Heart" by-pass surgery. That's right. You read… that correctly. BEATING HEART. Instead of stopping your heart and hooking you up to a heart-lung MACHINE to oxygenate your blood, your heart is still beating while Dr. Schlidt performs the by-pass grafts. I cannot tell you how big of a difference this makes to your overall recovery AND the fact that you are NOT subjected to possible 'Bubble Brain' oxygen deprivation which is so COMMON with heart-lung by-pass machines. The nurses on my floor kept gushing about how they'd NEVER SEEN someone bounce back like I did. I KNEW it was because of Dr. Schlidt. If you know someone who needs by-pass surgery, I don't care who you choose as a cardio-thoracic surgeon, just make sure they do "Beating Heart" by-pass surgeries. Only 14% of by-pass surgeries are beating heart surgeries. All in all...I attribute all this cardio health to Dr Grambow. His care for the last 20 years, and when I needed by-pass surgery, he turned me over to a surgeon who was stellar. Absolutely stellar.

Excellent Doctor the best of the best

This Dr. does not need my endorsement (hence the 10 locations he works out of.) I would not hesitate for 1 minute to tell anyone to consult him or put their complete faith in his expertise. He might well be the best Dr. I've ever met and I'm 67 and have seen my share of them.
