Several months agoI finally wrote a review for this doctor but it is no longer on any of the websites where you can read reviews so I want to put it on again because I hope that my experience will save someone else. BEWARE THIS DOCTOR. He performed surgery on me over three years ago to remove a mass from my neck and ruined the quality of my life forever by damaging the nerves in my neck I am unable to use my arm very well or lift it over my head.The muscles in my shoulder, back and breast have all atrophied and I look deformed. I spent months in physical therapy trying to regain the use of my arm and get rid of the excruiating pain. I now have neuropathic pain that I deal with every day. I did not return to him when this began right after my follow up surgical visit with him. I didn't trust him at that point. I went instead to another physician for help and got as much help as I could but the damage can't be undone. This doctor is a terrible surgeon and is arrogant in… that he does not listen to his patients. I asked for a biopsy. but he dismissed me saying the mass had to come out anyway. Prior to surgery I asked him about possible nerve damage and he assured me there wouldn't be any problem. I picked his name out of the phone book and I've learned my lesson. I recently had to see an ENT but got a referral from my primary care physician. It was not this doctor!

Dr. Halvorson is a great doctor that listens and cares about his patients.

I was referred to this doctor because of to many ear infections. He was very rude and 2 months later I am have to see another doctor to have another set of tubes in my baby's ears. I wouldn't allow him to treat my dog!

He seems like a good doctor for some things but when I came to him for a enlarged, hard lymph node in my neck along with other symptoms - he pretty much brushed it off. A ct scan was unremarkable but I wanted a biopsy-which he wouldn't do. Now a few months later I have multiple large nodes and awaiting a second opinion at uab. I might recomend him for allergies - but definately not for anything possibly serious!

I am shocked the the comments from other patients but I am sure everyone cannot have the best experience. I saw this doctor for my sinuses and ended up needing surgery. Since then, I have not had a single problem with my sinuses. I have recommended him to my friends and their experience has been the same. He is very busy but normally you do not have to wait for hours like many of my other doctors. I would recommend him for your sinus and ENT problems.

My experience with this Dr was terrible. His bedside manner is the worst. He told me he didn't know what was wrong with me & that he wasn't touching it. Referred me to another Dr. I had to chase him down & call him back into his office 3 times because I still had questions & he did't have time to fool with me. I have since found out a friend of mine had sinus surgery by him & continued to have problems. The next time she went he recommended sinus surgery, not even realizing that he had just done surgery on her a few weeks before. He is horrible. I would never go back to him.

This doctor GREATLY MISDiagnosed my problem. Claimed I had a ruptured vocal cord, w/one nodule. Recommended he do surgery. Got a SECOND opinion, THANK GOD!! I did not have a ruptured vocal cord and spotted a second nodule on my vocal cords that was precancerous or cancerous. I am scheduled with another Doctor to have these removed. I am horrified to think what would have happened if I had let him do the surgery!! Don't use him.

The doctor performed sinus surgery on me and ever since I have had a foul smell in my nose. I went back to see him and he treated me in the most uncaring way. His assistant was very rude as I thought I was about to vomit and she said the trash basket is across the room. It has been a year and I hate this smell, but have been told I need revison surgery.
