Dr. David Paul Harries, MD

This “doctor” did nothing but lecture my fiancé on the “do’s” and “do nots” with the back pain that she has had for over a decade. Currently, by the end of the day no matter what she did during the day, she cannot walk around the house without the simple movement causing excruciating pain. I have had to CARRY her around the her and from her truck to her house multiple times. She finally had the high hopes that she caught a break and would receive the help that past MDs, chiropractors, and other alternative medicine/holistic practices left her short handed with. Yes, it is aggravated through current pregnancy. However, an MRI showed she has multiple underlying issues that ARE NOT pregnancy related and do need rather immediate attention and tending to. She was rejected any medication or steroidal shots such as cortisone, just to at least ease the pain. She was not in search of any narcotic level drugs. She just simply wanted some sort of physical action taken to get the long awaited… help. On the topic of medication and OTC pain management pills this “doctor” said she should not take anything OTC to avoid falling into an addiction with them. That is hilariously false. OTC drugs would not be OTC if life-altering addiction was ever a major concern. Addiction level medication is called a narcotic, thank you very much. My biggest, greatest point and concern is he would reference these (the cortisone shot/medication) requests needs to be ran through and approved by an OBGYN and WOULD NOT proceed or attempt to get an OBGYN approval or even refer her for a follow up appointment with one to get whatever the approval process may be, started. She also took the liberty to do plenty of research prior to this appointment with her downtime because the pain has made her COMPLETELY UNABLE TO WORK and she asked about ultrasound pinpoint injections. Once again, completely dismissed the idea and didn’t even consider pointing her in the right path or trying to provide help. He did NOTHING but tell her everything all of the past doctors and practitioners told her to do that ultimately do not help, or just simple information one could look up online. He just wants the paycheck. He doesn’t care about his patients truly feeling better. I hope this helps anyone else who has concerns or wants information about this man.

Doesn’t matter what pain you have if Dr Harries doesn’t know what to do he will discharge you a his patient. I’ve had disabling migraines for over 20 years. He says I did NOT have migraines I have facial pain. NO I DONT!

My previous Doctor, Dr McDonnell was fired for help patient’s facial nerve pain with a procedure that Deaconess disagreed with. They brought in this Dr to replace him and he is rude, uncaring and doesn’t listen to the patient. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, and have been on the same treatment plan for several years. It has been allowing me to lead a somewhat normal life. Dr Harries saw me for all of 10 mins, gave me a very rough exam, and told me that I did have fibromyalgia and that “It is a disease of the brain” He insisted that I must have some past trauma in my life and kept insisting until I told him that I was in an abusive marriage over 30 yrs ago, but I didn’t believe that was the cause. He then asked me if I had flashbacks to the abuse and I told him no. He insisted that I did, and that I needed to be on anti-anxiety meds, but that he didn’t prescribe them. He refused to prescribe my pain meds and told me I needed to see a psychiatrist for my past trauma and that my… fibromyalgia would get better! I left there crying and hurting more than I did when I walked in.

I saw him several years ago. I have left a review previously but it's been deleted. I am a well educated professional who deals with chronic pain due to a car wreck many years ago. In my opinion, this doctor has no business practicing medicine. His treatment of me on the two occasions that I saw him was rude, dismissive, hurtful and cruel. He has forgotten the "First, Do No Harm" part of his Oath. He refused to prescribe me medication, unless I lost at least 7 pounds a month. As a doctor, he should know that 95% of all diets fail. And furthermore, he should not put his own bias' before the patient's welfare. I have the right to not be in pain. I have always been 100% compliant in the 15 plus years I have been in pain management. He wouldn't listen to me, though. He looked at me, with his prejudices and judged me without even listening. He then threw his pencil across the table and acted like a petulant child when I called him on his behavior. Unless you are a size zero and… have had a perfect childhood, I would not see him for pain management because he will treat you as if you're a repulsive monster rather than someone in chronic pain. He should not be allowed anywhere near the public. He puts good doctors to shame.

Thinks he knows your pain without listening to you! Get a clue doctor and a bedside manner! Shame on you, saying you are dedicated to ease pain, when you don’t even care to listen! Bad doctor!!!

I have faith in Dr. Harries skill. He has lessened my pain tremendously. His staff is wonderful and very kind.

If you're looking for drugs,walk on by. And he doesn't like smokers much either. (Damages bones) But if you're in pain and you want his help and are willing to do as he says, he will do everything in his power to help you. He doesn't know the word quit. Yes,at first meeting he can be brusque, but that's so he can get all pertinent facts regarding your case. He's an excellent diagnostician. Ad come the second or third visit, he lightens up,and you'll see he has a flourishing sense of humor! Dr Harries is where know-how meets compassion, and I'm delighted to be his patient. He has already helped me so much, and I get the feeling he's as happy about that as I am!

Dr Harries was very informative and nice. Helped solve my torn muscle problem and set me up with a Surgeon. Looking for pain pills not your Dr. Looking for real help go see him

Dr. Harries was very pleasant and extremely informative. I was frankly a bit nervous after reading some bad reviews about him,however, I can now lay those concerns to rest. I'll bet money that any bad reviews are unfounded. I am overwhelmingly pleased with his care and have no worries about any future possible treatments.

Dr. U need to be very careful how u treat your patients cause some of us are tired of being abused by u and others like u and are taping every word you say..... And nice try on those that u write about yourself u r evil .....15 yr pain patient not taking it anymore
