Dr. David Alan Harwood, MD

Worst attitude of any medical professional I have ever encountered. When faced with additional questions his response "I'm just the carpenter". He seemed to care more about his ego than his patient. I do not recommend him for any procedure.

Dr. Harwood is a very caring Dr. he has a way of putting you at ease..he did my first knee replacement and I did very well...I need my other knee done and would not have no other Dr. operate on me but him...he is very professional and knows his stuff...if you are facing a knee replacement you should consider Dr. Harwood...you will be with the BEST

He might be a capable surgeon, but I absolutely would not see him as my physician. He is beyond arrogant and extremely rude. Part of being a good doctor is caring about patients, and I do not believe that he does.

I went to see him years ago and paid cash. I thought it was odd they made me pay right away before I went in to see him. I asked him questions regarding my knee that needs replacement he was not nice at all didn't want to be bothered. Spent no time with me makes sense why I paid upfront. I should of asked for my money back. He also had someone in training come in first and ask me questions and look at me as if he was the doctor and went on what he said. I would never use this doctor.

Outstanding care. Quick diagnosis. Up and on my feet hours after right hip surgery. Came home Sunday after Friday surgery. Two weeks of p/t, nursing and o/t. Currently completing outpatient p/t. Walking,driving and completing recovery. Sorry I waited so long to correct the situation.

I had a knee replacement 3 years ago by Dr Harwood. I am so grateful to have had him as my doctor. He doesn't have a great bedside manner but he is an excellent surgeon.I had five previous surgeries before the replacement and always woke up in pain. I had no pain after the replacement. I am better then I have been in years. I am pain free for the first time in 30 years.He truly gave me back my life.If I ever need the other knee done, he is who I would go to.

After 2 years of being told by another Dr. It wasn't my hip I didn't know where to turn. Went to Dr. Harwood's associate, Dr Chiapetta who immediately diagnosed severe hip arthritis and referred me to Dr. Harwood. 5 weeks after having a total hip replacement I am so thankful to Dr. Chiapetta for his diagnosis and Dr. Harwood for doing the surgery! I once again can walk pain free!

DR. HARWOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! HE CHANGED MY ENTIRE LIFESTYLE. HE HAS PERFORMED 2 TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS WITHIN THE PAST 2 YEARS AND IF I NEEDED A 3RD, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO HAVE IT DONE, ONLY IF IT WAS DR. HARWOOD DOING THE SURGERY. HE HAS A GREAT BEDSIDE MANOR AND AND A WONDERFUL STAFF BEHIND HIM. DIANE HIS NURSE WAS GREAT WITH FOLLOWUP AT THE HOSPITAL AND KEPT ME COMFORTABLE AT ALL TIMES. I AM 61 YEARS OLD AND AM FINALLY BACK TO ENJOYING MY LIFE. ALL THANKS TO DR. HARWOOD AND HIS STAFF.

Dr. Harwood performed a total knee replacement on my left knee at Robert Woods Johnson Hospital. The results exceeded my expectation. My leg is no longer deformed and I walk without a limp. I also was impressed with the care and treatment that I received at the hospital. The post-operative pain from this type of suregery is severe and the nursing staff did an outstanding job in caring for and helping with my recovery.
