I was once a national - class middle distance runner who was still running regularly when Dr. Hobbs realized that I had a serious problem. The cardiologists failed to diagnose my blocked arteries. Dr. Hobbs demanded that they perform tests they had not considered necessary. He was right, they were wrong and I had emergency triple bypass surgery the next day. The cardiac surgeon said I was lucky to still have been alive. That was 21 years ago. Dr. Hobbs is still my primary doctor and continues to provide thorough, friendly care. (I did change cardiologists, though.)

Dr. Hobbs needs to retire ! He is one of the nicest people you would want to meet. As a doctor he does not take control of the patient's problem. He likes to have you help him make decisions, send you to specialists or the emergency room as his primary tactic for anything other than a basic office visit and exam. The MDVIP (concierge medicine) practice he has in my opinion is the biggest ripoff in medical history. There are approximately 800 MDVIP doctors in the country. The fee to the dance is $ 1,500.00 and up around the country. He does answer his cell phone, he does call in prescriptions if they are basic such as antibiotics and he will also tell you to go to the emergency room in most cases "if the condition" worsens. The concerns I had did not get corrected over a few years, so I moved on. My new doctor was all over my health issues the 1st visit I saw him and he got my medical issues under control immedidiately by taking control of the situation and telling me how… it was going to be treated, not having discussion after discussion asking for my input. I am not the MD, he is. He relies on his computer programs when you meet with him, with his face in the monitor screen and not looking at you. This really makes one feel special and confident. Not to mention they include "a free" yearly medical examination and blood work included for the $ 1,500.00. My new doctor's lab's are a lot more comprehensive, and, he his prescriptions are prescribed for more than 30 days at a time for basic medicines. That is also the "I gotcha" to feel as though you are getting something for your extra money in my opinion. His staff is nothing spectacular and the least professional I have ever seen. The office is a shambles, and one would question if it is a shrine to himself with portraits of himself in a glass cabinet in the waiting room? This is information for you to use as you wish and is solely my own opinion. Good luck

Dr Hobbs is a great Doctor. Dr. Hobbs took wonderful care of my husband when he was dying of cancer. He was at the hospital daily. I was so impressed that I changed Doctors to be a patient of his. He has taking excellent care of me, even when he had a very crowded practice. Now that he has an MDVIP practice, he has even more time to care for his patients. Dr Hobbs is the rare old-fashion doctor who likes to sit down with you and really get to know you.

give Doctor Hobbs an F. The last 2 times I went to see him, I was seen by a 'nurse practioner' who was almost as smart as my 7 year old lab. When Dr. Hobbs went to his new 'Wellness Program' he sent patients who chose not to participate to a Dr. Jay Panara, whose offices are filthy, staff is rude and actually lied about being a provider of the insurance I carry. Regardless of being a previous patient who may be in need of medical records, if you are not a part of his 'Wellness Program', you are totally ignored.

I recently switch doctors when I found out Dr Hobbs was going to MDVIP. I wish I switch sooner!! My new doctor is fantastic, The quality of staff -Nurse is excellent, Its a high tech office, they do testing right in the office, results in 5-10 minutes. Staff is more organize, Doctor is detailed orientated and Friendly. Hobbs is a nice guy, but the rent a nurses he use have to go!!! Once in awhile he gets a good nurse but they never stay. I felt have gone from the outhouse to the penthouse!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Hobbs for more than 20 years now. I feel totally confident with him and have always received excellent care from him and his staff!

My family and I found Dr. Hobbs in the early 80's and have followed him wherever he goes. He has seen us through serious illnesses and routine problems. I feel fortunate to have him as my primary care physician. His office staff is competent, kind, and caring.

Dr Hobbs is so good you are lucky to get him as your primary doctor. He's very good at diagnosing your problem but also doesn't hestiate to refer you to a specialist if needed. He also gives back to his community and is a good family man.

He's by far the best doctor I've ever been to.

I, too, have been going to Dr. Hobbs for about 20 years. I think he is very caring, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure he gets it right. I hate the thought of him retiring!
