Dr. David Michael Holajter, MD

I was a saw Dr. Holajter for over 30 years. He treated me for a reoccurring major depression disorder. I couldn't have had a better doctor.

I always feel that Dr. Holajter stays on top of my situation. I am comfortable seeing him and discussing anything with him.

Dr. Holajter manages my 91 year old mom's psych meds. He is a great listener and takes thorough notes, and as a result, remembers everything we discuss from one visit to the next. He takes the prescribing of drugs(considering potential side effects)very seriously, and puts a lot of thought into what is the best direction to take when it comes to making any changes in Mom's meds. He is so kind with her at her visits, and she always comes away feeling better about herself and about life in general. Dr. Holajter also saw my daughter at a time in her life when she was devastated over the sudden unexpected loss of a relationship and had become very depressed. She had dropped out of college at that time. Again, with a very measured approach, Dr. Holajter was able to prescribe medications that helped to get her back on track. She went on to finish college and then medical school and is now a practicing physician. I am so thankful that someone recommended Dr. Holajter to us at that… time. We are so fortunate to have such a competent and kind psychiatrist in the Evansville area.
