Dr. David Edwin Holloway, MD

Overall, Dr. Holloway's care was fair, to good, in the office. However, he is difficult to reach during the week if there is a medication problem. He does not respond promptly to emergency calls when needed and does not have a back-up doctor or nurse. Once an emergency call on a Friday evening was returned Monday approximately 2:00pm. He does not use electronic charting or video virtual; only telephone calls for appointments. When he had difficulty treating patient mental health with physical health complexities, he didn't attempt to provide other private providers and simply dumped care to the county. The county providers utilize nurse practitioners that are not qualified for complex health conditions. In the end he was disappointing and I wish another doctor was sought after a couple of years of knowing we could never reliably reach him with medication problems. With several years of care, there was never one missed appointment by patient or Dr. Holloway. Discharge Care was… hurtful and his handling of the treatment ended up feeling harmful.

Dr. Holloway is kind, thoughtful and sincere. He returns phone calls, listens to my concerns and is incredibly nonjudgmental.

My experience with Dr. Holloway has been nothing but positive. He listens to my concerns, provides sound advice, and suggests medication without being pushy.

Best man I ever met

I am a psychologist who searched very carefully to find the best psychiatrists in Milwaukee, so that I could reliably refer my clients to one who is both highly skilled and relates well to patients. I could only find 3, and Dr. Holloway is one of those three. He is great at carefully listening to specific symptoms, the context in which they are occurring, and what has worked well or not in the past--and then match this information with the best options for medications and alternative care. From there, he carefully works with the patient (in consultation with me) to tweak the medications until he can obtain the best results possible. Interpersonally, he is kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to go the extra mile regardless of how busy he is or how many patients he is seeing. I don't know how he does it--but am grateful that he does. (By the way, I needed to leave my own practice for medical reasons and asked Dr. Holloway to provide me support while I was away, so I can also… rate him from the patient's point of view.)

A very kind, caring doctor. Good listener that values patient input. He works hard to find a program that works for the individual patient.

Have been with him many years after searching through many others who applied their "methods". Dr. H. is absolutely the tops!! He better not retire soon! He helps me tremendously.I owe him many thanks.
