I visited Doctor Horowitz with my wife for a skin and hair problem. The first appointment was a social gathering, with promises of treatment, a blood test and medicine just like the one my wife has been prescribing for her doctor in Colombia. Nothing new and especially nothing like what we expected from a doctor with more than 50 years of experience. Something of theatricality when he plucked hair from my wife's head to see them under the microscope. Maybe she wanted to impress the couple with the look of immigrants. The second date was worse, if it could be. The practitioner in 2 minutes checked my wife's head, and all she said was that she needed Biotin and that there was nothing else that could be done there to help my wife. She said that according to the results of the blood tests, she recommended that our family doctor see her. Then Doctor Horowitz came in like a waterspout and in less than a minute he said the same thing. I froze, I don't know if from anger or surprise at such a… lack of professionalism. The practitioner recommended a doctor who was, according to her, the best laser treatment for hair loss (My wife has been in this treatment for more than 10 years and it is useless). Since I was not moving out of the office, the doctor opened the door and invited us to leave the office. $ 50 the first and $ 50 the second. I do not think I have invested my money worse in all my life and I am 60 years old.

This doctor fails to do the basics of a mole check. He doesn't have the mole(s) biopsied. As a result he has missed diagnosing skin cancer to the detriment of the patient.

They accept Cigna, but not if you have it through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace. Dermatology and the prevention of Skin Cancer is only for those of us who are self employed that can afford to pay more than $1,100 per mth for insurance. What is wrong with this system and those Doctors who support it!

Very knowledgeable

Dr Horowitz and his staff were so helpful and professional and instead of being full of assumptions they were interested in getting to the root of my problem. I've been treated by several clinics (some of which could only see me for a chronic condition a month or more out) and this guy got me in and knew what he was doing. The experience was a great one from the receptionist at the front desk to the doctors and nurses and even the folks at the check out. I highly recommend them for dermatology.

this doctor has the expertise and knowledge to resolve skin issues

Please go to another dermatologist. This guy failed to biopsy a mole on my child even though there was a family history of melanoma. Less than a year later my child was diagnosed with Melanoma and died. Do yourself a favor and go to a dermatologist that follows standard protocol. If you read through some of these reviews they are absolutely horrid or extremely flattering it appears that someone may be fudging or having the ratings skewed!
