He is a great doctor--correct diagnosis--correct cure! Both times. Wonderful followup!

Dr. Johnson is a very professional, caring doctor. He explained all my options. Surgery was done as out patient surgery, later that evening I received a phone call from Dr. Johnson himself asking how I was doing.

I have been to Dr. Johnson twice and both times I was in awe of his knowledge. The second time I came to him was for a second opinion on a diagnosis from another prominent Sport Ortho who was part of the Redskins medical team. After a 1 minute exam and a few questions, Dr. Johnson provided a preliminary diagnosis that was exactly correct. He then took the MRI captures and report for review to confirm his assumptions. The previous surgeon, who I am sure is very good, needed a 10 minute exam and the MRI results to get where Dr. Johnson was after 3 minutes. Bottom line, Dr. J said no surgery and prescribes PT. Within a few months I was back to normal (slightly Torn Rotator). I have also recommended 2 other friends to Dr. Johnson, one of whom had been to 6 different specialist with no success, and they both share my assessment of Dr. Johnson's skills. One of those gents needed a specialist to resolve an issue that was not in his area, and he was outstanding also.

He's done both knee replacement and rotator cuff surgery for me; both outcomes have been excellent.

Dr. Johnson is one of the finest orthopedic doctors in the area. He provides thorough and compassionate care. He has treated me as if he truly cares about me as a patient. I feel very confident having Dr. Johnson as my physician.

Unlike mot surgeons, Dr Johnson explores all other options before the idea of surgery comes up. His experience and common sense manner are evidient when talking to him. I highly recommend him as a first or second opinion.

He was great doc from the start and am glad he operated on me. Problems started after the surgery. The on call doc who works in the office - Tozzi is very unhelpful and rude. He would not give clear guidnace on what to do if any problem arouse after 5 pm (when Dr. Johnson is not in office). This necessiates visiting ER during post operative period. Also, post operative ER visit is a nighmare - endless waiting.
