David Jopke, FNP-C

David Jopke is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in adult endocrinology. "My passion is working with those who live with diabetes," he said. "I want to help them live full and fulfilling lives."

As a person who lives with Type 1 diabetes, Jopke understands the challenges patients might go through and hopes to empower them to make the necessary adjustments to achieve their health goals. Jopke views each patient as a partner in health. "My relationship with patients is always a collaborative one," he said. "I truly believe people have an idea of the path to health and wellness, but likely need help with the tools to get there. I strive to partner with my patients and facilitate interventions guided by trust and compassion."

When it comes to overall health, Jopke believes in balance. "There is no such thing as perfection," he said. "Each individual needs to find their balance between being focused on health while living their everyday lives."

Jopke chose health care as a career …because he wanted to give back to others. Born and raised in the Minneapolis area, Jopke attended Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, where he received both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
