Incredible ob and fertility doctor. Staff is great. Overall wonderful experience and I will continue to use him.

Dr Kallenberger was rough during the physical exam, didn't explain what he was doing before he touched me, and I was sore for 2 days afterward. It was unpleasant and disappointing for a first OB visit to say the least. We found another doctor immediately.

Had a very bad experience . During visits he does won't explain anything to us. When I ask him he would hardly say anything . He would do whatever procedure not speak a word leave the room and When ever he was doing the procedure I felt like he doesn't want to be there . He tried iui but did not workout. We had to pay all out of pocket. He suggest $3000 for each shot, but we already spent lot of money . When my husband asked that's lot of money . He said loudly this is how she is . I felt bad . one side I was depressed that we had to do all this procedures , on top of when he said that Hurted me bad . I wish I could do something to make it goaway . We decided to take little break as we spend lot on labs , procedures . Later I changed for better insurance but this time they suggested dr rashif and dr kallenberger . When my husband asked little early appointment at dr rasif office He called kallenberger and they both rejected me in taking patient . When I called to ask them why… receptionist forwarded me to manager and she said we cannot consider you as a patient and hang up the phone . Both rashid and kallenberger did that . I was stunned. In society we give lot of respect to doctors not because they studied 100 chapters in a textbook, but for their un selfish work and their high dedication to work .but when I heard two professional doctors rejected a patient because they did not like her husband asking questions and has no proper answer when we asked reason for not taking patient.I thought its not worth to encourage such doctors . Found awesome Dr's at lakeside women's hospital . They even identified few things which kallenberger did not do. they are awesome, staff is amazing . I let u make a decision . This was my experience.

I'm 27 now, and Dr. K delivered me : ) He is both my mom's obgyn and mine. He is wonderful!

if you have pcos, like I do, he will dump you, refuse to prescribe you Metformin, wasted my reproductive years, and refused to help me with the thyroiditis. I will never have any children because he just didnt like me. Thanks for giving me a poor quality of life.

Excellent knowledge, very efficient, did a great job on both surgeries. Highly recommend him!

I had been a patient of Dr. Kallenberger`s for many, many years. Had I written this review some years ago, I would have rated him much higher. However, he has changed. I have referred other family members to him. Recently, a family member who had also seen him for many years called his office with very severe abdominal pain in conjunction with her period, asking to be seen. She was told she could be seen some week or more in the future, they could not prescribe any pain medication for her, and that there was really nothing they could do for her--their words. She ended up in the emergency room. Neither she nor I will be returning to see Dr. Kallenberger in the future. The doctor I used to know would have shown some concern for his patient. The message was clear that he had neither time nor concern for a long-time patient who was in serious distress and who might have had a very serious problem and needed to be seen quickly. We felt totally abandoned and on our own.

I began seeing Dr. Kallenberger after my husband and I tried for 5 1/2 years to get pregnant. My initial visit was awful. He seemed very rushed when he was in the room. He did a very quick pelvic exam, and I was left feeling violated. The Bennett Fertility website says that you'll spend 45 minutes with the doctor during you're first visit, and I spent maybe 10 minutes with him. Out of all of my visits, I spent no more than 3-5 minutes with him. He always seemed too busy to answer my questions and as if my personal case wasn't that important. I'm sure if I were doing IVF, I would have gotten more excitement out of him. We ended up deciding to do a IUI with donor sperm, and after months of waiting for me to respond to the medication, my big day came. That big day turned into a disaster. I was never told that I had to go to the courthouse to file legal papers for my use of donor sperm. So the day of my procedure, I had to worry about getting the paperwork filed, while trying to not miss… out on my procedure. No one else seemed to care that I was beyond stressed, and Dr. Kallenberger even joked "Ah, we skipped a few steps..." I was not happy with him or his staff. His nurse, Nancy, is very kind and helpful. She's the only kind one I came across. Everyone else seemed snotty, and like they hated their jobs.

As a 31 year old woman, I went to Dr. Kallenberger for fertility problems. He suggested IVF. We tried an IUI first, which was cheaper. A nurse performed the procedure, instead of the doctor. Within 27 hours, I had fever and infection. The nurses assured me this could not be a product of the IUI, and I probably had a "cold"... General antibiotics did not work, fever and aching pelvis continued for weeks, getting worse. Eventually, I visited the ER on the weekend; they swabbed the cervix and found an infection, suggested that I return to Kallenberger for treatment, and prescribed a few days of antibiotics to tide me over, until I could see Kallenberger again. After starting this new set of antibiotics, I began to bleed from the uterus. Nurses at Kallenberger's office refused to make an appointment and told me I was having my period. This was the middle of my cycle, period should not have occurred for another two weeks. The surprising part is that a nurse refused to… make an appointment for a paying customer(?) Anyway, I bled for twenty days before the nurses allowed me to see the doctor. Kallenberger spent less than thirty seconds in the room, interrupted all three of my sentences, told the nurse to give me a Progesterone shot, and walked out. Everyone insisted that Progesterone would make the bleeding stop. I still thought something else was wrong, but it is hard to disagree with a doctor and his medical team, when they are determined to be correct. As I exited the office, I looked so upset that the employees at the front desk insisted Dr. Kallenberger visit with me again, to calm me down. In our second mini-appointment, he ordered blood work to check whether I was "anemic" because I seemed so tired and confused. I waited for another week, the bleeding did not stop. Eventually, I went to another doctor, who prescribed the appropriate antibiotics, as the ER had suggested. The bleeding finally stopped. In all, I bled for fifty days (the new doctor had a waiting-list for new patients). In summary, I wouldn't recommend Kallenberger. He does not listen to his patients. I could not even finish a sentence. I wanted to tell him about the cervical infection, to insist that the bleeding was not anything to do with my reproductive cycle, but he simply interrupted and talked over me, three times. Perhaps Dr. Kallenberger has too many patients. He is very, very busy. The office is always full, and he doesn't make his patients wait. But when you actually see the doctor, you'll only see him for ten to thirty seconds... I would rather have a longer wait time in the office, and then actually visit with a doctor who is willing to hear the patient's "backstory"... Also, I find it really horrible that the nurses would not allow me to schedule an appointment, until I had been bleeding for twenty days, instead of just six or seven (which seemed like enough to me!). Also, I wonder if it isn't malpractice to have nurses perform the procedures, on the doctor's behalf? If you need fertility treatment, he's one of the only doctors available in the state. If you need anything else, then go elsewhere.
