Dr. David Jonathan Keblish, MD

If, like me, you find yourself in this situation: -11 month old fractured finger and needed surgery to fix it -Managed to pull off cast, exposing operated on finger 36hrs after procedure -This guy is on call -It's 7pm the day before Thanksgiving Then you will need to be prepared to have these questions answered before being given any guidance whatsoever on how to proceed: What were the post op instructions? When was the cast supposed to come off? Why did you let him do that? Who was supervising him? I know you had post op instructions, so what were they? :: When you answer there were none for the cast coming off, he'll correct you that he means the instructions for cast management :: Now, to bypass this you need to say loudly OKAY WHAT DO I DO to which he will reply to go to the nearest ER. Now you'll hear that a cast is supposed to be a big pillow and that not having it in will impede the desired result of the surgery... so we now have to get into FIELD MEDICINE which garners a… large sigh. But basically you need padding around the injury secured with tape. At this point he might ask if anything is bleeding and when you remind him your son is 11 months old he'll let you know he didn't know that, and reassure you that he also has children and isn't judging you. Hm. If you point out that his bedside manner needs improving, he'll let you know that this is NOT bedside and if it were out would be different. He didn't specify how, so I guess you'll have to see how that goes. Personally, I hope I never have to find out. Basically, if you think it's an emergency for orthopedics and this guy is on call, save yourself a lecture and just go to the ER after wrapping the injury with padding and securing it with tape. Same result, less self loathing and rage.

This was my follow up visit with Dr. Keblish from my having gone to him seeking a second opinion. The entire staff was wonderful in every way and they accommodated my need for an immediate appointment. I hadn’t even finished the extremely quick and easy one page paperwork when they took me back to get my vitals. After that they took me right to an exam room. Within two to three minutes the doctor himself stuck his head in the door and apologized and said he just needed a few more minutes. A minute later he came in. He gave me his undivided attention and showed me my MRI’s and explained everything in detail in a way anyone could understand. He showed me what he documented from my first visit and besides being very thorough about my physical condition he also noted conversations, my concerns, and even my state of mind, such as my having left in tears. Not only is he concerned with his patients getting the best medical care but also how it effects one emotionally. He is… considerate, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, patient, kind, and just funny enough with his easy manner to set anyone at ease. Although I have excellent pt’s and have been in and out of PT for a year and also have another very excellent orthopedic surgeon, he was still able to show me some things I should be doing every day that I had never been shown before. He is just that good! Upon leaving he left me with some excellent medical advice and I felt more hopeful than I had in a long time. I only wish I could see him for all my healthcare needs.

I went to Dr. Keblish for a second opinion about surgery on my foot to repair damage to a tendon. He went over the MRI with me during the visit and thoroughly explained what he saw. He answered my questions and gave me a course of action I was comfortable with. I followed-up with him again and the issue persisted. He is compassionate, thorough, easy to talk to, and I quickly felt I could trust his recommendations.

I couldn't be happier with the visit I had for my son yesterday! Dr Keblish was very passionate and attentive to the concerns I had for my son and was very direct to the point. We had been chasing the issue of my son's flat feet and running concerns and leg length discrepancy for couple of years and unfortunately were about to lose hope, since we were not getting any recommendations or explanations. Dr Keblish listened to the history , examined my son very thoroughly, and went far and beyond in terms of time, workup and management including long term goals. I was very impressed with Dr Keblish's knowledge and professional opinion. The staff were very professional too. I would highly recommend Dr Keblish to patients.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr Keblish. After being on crutches for 8 weeks and putting no weight on my foot I was told I needed surgery. I went to Dr Keblish to get a second opinion. He took all the time in the world to listen to me and answer questions. He concluded that I didn't need surgery at all and that I didn't need to be on crutches at all. He said things were progressing nicely. He put me in a boot and said when I felt comfortable I could stop wearing it. 4 weeks later I got the all clear. Yesterday I went on a 2.5 mile hike and felt great. If I hadn't seen Dr Keblish I'd still be recovering from surgery. I highly recommend him.

The entire staff was helpful and courteous. I can't imagine a better experience.

Dr. Keblish is an amazing surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone.
