Great Dr. Took some patience on my part but right below God he gets credit for my breaks healing as quick as they did.

Dr. Koon was right on when I saw him after a month of trying something my regular doctor prescribed with no results. He answered all questions without beating around the bush, I want straight answers to my questions and got them, thank you dr, koon. I was scheduled quickly for surgery after MRI done. Although Dr. koon did not do my surgery, his associate did the procedure, he has been taking care of me before and after surgery. He is accurate, knew my injury and proper care and he has been receptive in every appointment to all my fears, questions, etc. I found his bedside manner right on and compassionate and I loved his sense of humor ( either I got his or he got mine). I saw him in Winnsboro which saves me long drives to Columbia and is convenient for where I live. I was extremely impressed after seeing him in Winnsboro, he called me at home to make sure his office contacted me and we were on our way to fixing my ankle, a dr. Following up personally, how rare is that!!! I… also must praise his associate who did the surgery, he called me as well to check on me the evening after the procedure.

Dr. Koon is a highly effective surgeon who performs accurate surgeries with minimal scarring. I had a total knee replacement done by Dr. Koon at the Dorn VAMC, and my scar looks better than any that I have seen done by the other surgeons there.The knee is doing quite well. If you want mollycoddling, don't see this surgeon. If you want quality surgery with straightforward answers to your questions, use this surgeon. The rating system for this site seems to focus on office visits and touchy-feely stuff. I don't think I would even use this to start finding a good doctor.
