Dr. David Lavian, MD

I have been and unfortunately still am a patient of Dr. Lavian. This review is for the office staff. I was referred to 2 specialists by the doctor. The first referral I was given was for an office that had been out of business for over 2 years. I had to contact my insurance for a new referral. When they sent the replacement, they listed a doctor at a nearby office, but he had retired over 5 years ago. The referral for the other doctor had the wrong codes and needed to be fixed twice. I have still not seen either specialist. Every time I call the office, the answer is the same - “I’m sorry, sir, there’s nothing I can do.” I look forward to the day when AI or robots can take over for the medical staff. Maybe then, I will actually receive care.

I have been with Dr Lavian for 30 + years - and I am NOT the only patient in his waiting room with the same track record - enough said!

Dr. Lavian watches his patients very carefully. Sometimes he has me come in at 2 to 3 month intervals because he wishes to monitor and set up structure for my losing weight which he realizes is important for my overall health. If he notices I am worried too much about an issue, he immediate refers me to a specialist and explains that sometimes it brings peace of mind to get a 2nd opinion. I have been going to him for years and trust his medical judgments and experience.
