Dr. David A Maroof, PhD

As part of my claim, I was authorized to see a neuropsychologist, Dr. Maroof, for evaluation. Although I was informed the test could last up to six hours, my appointment lasted only about 45 minutes to an hour. From the start, Dr. Maroof insisted I did not have to take the test if I didn’t want to three times, which confused and pressured me since I had been cleared and needed to complete it. When I expressed my concerns, he became upset, used inappropriate language, (SAYING I DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS SH**T) and threatened to end the session. This experience left me feeling undervalued, fearful, and more distressed, especially while dealing with my existing mental health issues. It has caused increased nightmares and ongoing stress. I believe this unprofessional treatment added harm rather than help, and I feel measures should be taken to prevent such situations from happening to others facing similar evaluations.

He was extremely patient and considerate of my situation. I felt very comfortable speaking with him. Great Neuropsychologist!!
