Dr. Mazur was not always the most compassionate person with me, however, I was sent to him HPRP--not the most compassion-related reasons. I saw him mainly for med management as part of a mental health program NOT drug addiction. Once he realized that I had an anxiety/depression disorder and not a drug abuse problem, he was totally different and very supportive of me.

He will do his job, but don't expect to establish a positive doctor-patient relationship. After several appointments, he maintained a condescending and impersonal attitude.

Cold-blooded, arrogant and condescending. I saw him a handfull of times but stopped because I came to his office (the last time) suicidal, in tears, and he actually was so absolutely impassive and unempathetic it was stunning. Unfortunately he is the typical psychiatrist. Clinical, without empathy.

Seemed to be just putting in the time. Did not get the impression that he cared about our situation one way or the other. His help to us was marginal at best.

Dr.Mazur was a professional yet compassionate psychiatrist that I sought treatment with for 8 years. Although I was often distraught in his office, I carried away messages and input that got me through. I found Dr. Mazur the ultimate in doing an awesome job that was personalized, helpful, supportive, informative, and demonstrated an ultimately knowledgeable psychiatrist!
