Dr. David Lawrence Mccarty, DO

I got sent to him for a second medical opinion for a work-related injury. He had 20 papers in his hand, at the most, with no folder; after a 15-minute review of my life, he decided I am more than capable to return to my full-time job. Going against my current doctor and some of the top-rated surgeons in the country, as I had 2 metal discs replaced in my neck; 3 other discs are currently pushing on my spinal cord. So, with 5 of my 7 cervical discs injured, I was not surprised to read the review of him being retired. He makes quite a bit of money playing company doctor and sending people back to work.

Had knee replacement in 2013 and developed a MRSA infection. Ended up back in the hospital for 2 more weeks with the incision reopened to insert a wound vac. Before the follow up surgery to close the incision I told him that something wasn't right and the new knee was not working right. He just commented that he didn't know why that would be. Long story short, he retired a few wks after my final follow up appt and the entire clinic closed down so no recourse there. I saw a new Dr and had a revision surgery which helped with the pain but my leg is crooked and I can't walk properly causing back, hip and foot problems. He has ruined my retirement years and I can now do none of the things I could be enjoying

Worst Dr. ever.....glad he finally retired so he cannot maim other people...had knee surgery twice in three weeks due to he infected my knee when he gave me a shot of cortisone....

Well over a hour late. No time spent with me. Gave me pills and was very short with my husband. Staff said he had a emergency, that's why he was late. Doctor said he had a personnel appointment. Get your stories straight. very arrogant.

HE SPENDS PLENTY OF TIME WITH ME AND ACCURATELY EXPLAINS WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT I NEED TO DO TO RECOVER. ALSO, HE SHOWS COMPASION TO ME AND WHAT I WAS GOING THROUGH.

Dr. McCarty has been nothing but honest with me over the years that he's been my bone doctor. There was a recent incident where I injured my back and he told me there wasn't much chance that surgery would help me. I went to another doctor to get a second opinion. I was not even seen by the actual doctor, but by a physician's assistant, who said that an operation would be "a good option". I don't know why I listened, but I did, and scheduled surgery.Well, not only is my back NOT better after the operation, but I got an infection in my surgical incision that required me to end up spending more money to take care of. I should have listened to Dr. McCarty in the first place. Some doctors are just aggressive and dishonest. Dr. McCarty has always been straight with me and I should never have doubted him. DON'T GO TO ANYONE ELSE!! NOBODY TELLS IT LIKE IT IS LIKE THIS MAN!
