Dr. David Lee Mccollister, MD

Dr. McCollister uses a tone that he might not care about you or your diagnosis/treatment. Dr. McCollister doesn't give additional "after care" instructions verbally or written. while I was in the hospital Dr. McCollister said, "you should be fine" and then abruptly turned and left my room. Dr. McCollister did not stay to answer any of my questions, nor did he ask if I had any questions.

Dr. Mcollister performed the following on my brother, 1. Colostomy 2. Decubitus Ulcer - Clean wound on his back 3. Feeding tube he has great confidence. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. McCollister performed both my appendix and gallbladder surgery. I was quite happy with both. Obviously, if I had not been happy with the appendix surgery then I wouldn't have had him do the gallbladder. prior to the appendix surgery, he had to wait for results from a gastroenterologist (who shall remain nameless) and he was *great* about the follow-up when the GI doc decided that golfing was more important than sharing the results we needed. Now my daughter needs her gallbladder out and you can bet I'll have him do it.

Their office was clean enough. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. He performed an unnecessary surgery and did not inform me of my options and I thought a doctor would not perform surgery unless necessary but that is not true in this case. All he kept saying was lets do surgery or lets cut that off. I told him no the first time and he just kept saying it. Now I am stuck with a scare about 8cm that he could have done a biopsy on and did not tell me and hemorrhoids that burn, itch, bleed, drain, and swell. I never had any of these problems when I first went to him. All he wanted to do was cut for the money. I am now facing another surgery because of this doctor. He failed to tell me any info. but I was the dummy. I will never listen to another doctor again. This is my experience and my opinion, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
