Dr McCord is now retired. I do not know all the story but I have seen him for approx 25 yrs. He did 3 surgeries on me. He has always been kind and caring. My lumbar fusion was a fail but my cervical he fixed and I will always appreciate him. TY Dr. McCord. Everyone has lost a good doctor. We all have made mistakes and there is always a bad apple in the tree trying to take good people down. Good Luck with your retirement.

Dr. McCord has a history of fixing patients who have had failed back surgery other places. He gets optimum results where others have failed and who say nothing can be done. From personal experience I can verify he it’s an invaluable resource.

Prior to visiting Dr.David McCord I had been through 9 surgeries on my lower back. The first surgery was a laminectomy on my L-5 done by a highly praised neurosurgeon in Washington DC who did surgery on Redskins QB Joe Theismann. It was a failure. So I went to an orthopedic who was supposed to be a guru when it came to fusions. He performed 8 fusion surgeries on my lower back because he couldn’t get my vertebrae’s to fuse together. I was at the point of not being able to walk and the back and leg pain was constant. I visited many highly acclaimed spine experts and they all said it was scar tissue and nothing could be done. I’m talking the Texas Back Institute, Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, Duke, Vanderbilt, and the Simms Murphy Clinic. I had given up hope until I found Dr.McCord and he figured out what was causing my pain. He wasn’t afraid of my complex condition like most doctors because he has both the knowledge and confidence to improve complex spine problems. This doctor saved my life… and I now work as a personal trainer. I am forever grateful and know from experience that Dr.McCord is the best of the best when it comes to spine surgery. He’s also a very caring doctor.

Dr. McCord performed a spinal fusion on me in 2009. I had been in chronic pain for over three years at that point. I met him in the ER when two of my discs ruptured. His care and concern for me was so genuine that I dropped my other doctor and allowed him to operate on me. It's been a lifesaver. I have had zero pain or problems since he operated on me! He's a wonderful person and I am blessed that our paths crossed.
