Dr. David Antonio Medina, MD

Dr. Medina is attempting to simply be unethical while not exactly breaking the law (maybe) by changing the name of his clinic (same staff, same phone number, same address). A few doctors left the practice apparently all at once, 2 of which I'd been seeing for over a decade (at that office). When I called to make my usual follow up I was informed that my doctor was no longer there but that Dr Medina would be taking his patients. I figured this option was better that starting from scratch. I made the appointment as my usual 3 month psych appt. I was sent confirmation calls and texts up until the day before. Then the morning of my appointment his office called to tell me he was refusing to see me for reasons unknown. In over a decade I never missed an appointment, never asked for anything early. This obviously put my medication situation in dire jeopardy as he wouldn't speak to me or refill my medications. This is patient abandonment. They won't tell me where or how I can get ahold of my… doctor, they (as the same office) offered and agreed to continue treating me. Then the morning of my appointment, 3 days until I run out of all psychiatric medicine he refused to see me or give me a reason. This was today. I would hope a psychiatrist would have a basic understanding of the importance of stopping psychiatric meds suddenly. I will be filling complaints. Ask yourself, if he did this to me...

Transferred 3 times, on hold 15+mins, just to get a machine. My question could have been answered in 15 secs. In my opinion, unless you have all day, don't even try to make an appointment. I don't know him. I don't care to know him.
